Honestly it depends on which elo you're in.

For bronze the best champions to carry with are high damage, roaming champions, but any champion can get you out of bronze as long as you are good at that champion. Bronze is a shit tier elo, so you can get out of it with mechanics alone.

Silver is where things gets complicated. For with how it works, it has the highest mixture of skill pools and knowledge pools of players. You have players in silver who play like bronzies. You have players who play so good that you say to yourself "yeah this kid is going to get plat before the year ends" and you have other players who go "meh yeah he belongs in silver". Because of this huge mix of skill you can't really trust your teamates. So for this elo I reccomond heavy split pushers who can just take over the game through split push pressure. Never let the game go to late game in silver, for the moment you do you are at your teams mercy for them to not fuck up.

Gold, Gold is where you are allowed to use your best champion and role, Players are smarter in gold, they know how to let themselves be carried, once you reach gold find out who your best champion is and one trick them. If you are truley a master at that champion, you will get to plat easy.

Rules for all elos

-Win your lane, this is obvious, but so many people don't realize how important this is. In every elo you should expect your teamates to suck. because of this you need to get a lead and a big one, the bigger the better, the harder you can carry.

-CS as flawlessly as possible, same reasons as step 1

-Make a impact, roam and go for objectives. During the early game you want lane phase to end as fast as possible and preferbly in your favor, the moment you see a chance to roam, do it. The moment you can get a tower do it. Don't waste time.

-Win as fast as possible, don't play for the late game. Never play for the late game in any elo, the reason for this is because despite common belief, no it doesn't get easier in the late game it gets harder. Late game is when both teams reach 5-6 item points, it's when death times hit 50 seconds. During the mid game you were probably a 5/1/2 Lee Sin and could two v one, or even three v one for everyone on the enemy team was below you in gold. But now it's late game and even though your 10/4/6, the enemy team now has 5-6 items, so now at best all you can do is 1v1 because mathmatically it should no longer be possible for you to 1 v 2. Now you are reliant on your teamates, you need them to NOT FUCK UP, for the moment even one member dies, the enemy team is goign to look at either baron or your base, and you pray to god they chose baron.

A little pushback here - you can't climb with any champ because it's not about your enemies talent, but your teammates logic.

If you want to climb from Bronze, I'm learning the hard way, you need to play champs that can make up for absolute dopes in the bot lane. And a jungle who things he has all the answers. And that those answers mean ganks start at lvl 9.

That's bronze logic, Ive been playing league for almost 4 years now, and every time i got placed in bronze I climbed out in almost a day while playing a multitude of champions.

That's the problem with you bronze players, you say you want advice but you don't, I just gave good proper advice in how to get out and your first reply is to argue how bad your teamates are. You dont want advice you want justification in how you deserve higher elo but "absolute dopes" hold you back

Your advice is "play any champ" thanks for the hot take. Maybe you should tell poor people to get jobs so they can pay for medicine next.

This is the worst example of cherry picking I have seen in weeks, here let me finish that quote for you

He clearly gives the most optimal champions before stating that any champ works if you are good at them since bronze players aren't very good at the game.

I found that to carry out of bronze just play adc, your farm doesn't need to be perfect and as long as you can somewhat position you can win

wow man, thanks for the long essay. I really appreciate your help*[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]*

While I haven't been in Silver for a couple seasons, I find that poke and waveclear are extremely useful in that ELO.

Many games essentially devolved into an ARAM around objectives (where both teams just stand around until someone gets caught out) so the ability to stall and poke opponents down before a fight is rather valuable.

so a little history about myself , been playing since season 4. season 4 I got to silver playing basically only top shyvana, I was terrible these days and honestly knew no champions but despite that, I was able to stay in silver 4 without being demoted to bronze. season 5 I got a little bit better and switched to the mid lane. while I didn't make it in time I was able to get gold in the previous season abusing ahri. during season 6 I realized I was a really good jungle and support and went all the way to gold 2 with kindred and tricks in the last month of the season. currently season 7 is my worse season but i greatly blame that in my loss of passion due to real life personal struggles. I'll probably make a last ditch effort to get to gold this month but after that I'm not sure if I'll go for plat.

i played 3 roles, 1 of which people say you can't carry on that role. and I have climbed on all of them. the most important part to climbing is recognizing what you are good at. that's why I say

"if you are good at it you can climb" every elo has a cheese start.

Bronze play an assassin and just 1 v 9

silver play a split pusher and just get to the nexus

gold one trick a champion and play only that champion

but you don't need to use those strats to do it. you can easily get to gold hell even plat just by recognizing what you are good at and doing it, perfecting it.

that is all I have to say

p.s I'm on my cell be forgiving of typos

I just got out of bronze and i noticed that i could help carry the midgame (even if we lost the late sometimes as stated) when playing strong solo champions. Won a tonne of toplanes with malphite, as he makes ganking for your jungler a breeze. Braum support was a strong pick again for most games, as it made almost every carry have an easy laning phase.

Keep in mind that low elo has terrible macro play, so a strong split pusher like Aatrox Tryndamere Udyr Yorick will do very well. Just make sure your macro play is good as in where to be split pushing (ie Baron is alive and you have TP, push bot lane, and if a teamfight / baron attempt happens TP to Baron)
