After blocking a user, please do not que me with them again.

After I game with a very toxic or trolly user I always make sure to report and block that user. To my surprise I usually end up playing with that person on my team within a couple hours.

If I hate my experience with a user so much that I choose to not only report him but also to block that user. Can you please adjust League so I don't cue with that person as well? At the vary least so that User is not on my team?

I play in bronze 5, because I suck, this means i'm stuck with allot of trolls. I also get to play with allot of other fun user's who just need some more practice as well. Weather I win or lose a match, playing with a truly toxic player is never fun. Afterwords I make sure to block that player so I do not have to re-create that experience. But I end up seeing them on my team again soon. But this time I cannot see what they are saying, which is sometimes nice, but not when they call out teemo adc in the chat. I don't see this troll choice so I lock in with an adc. So now not only do I have to play with this troll but now i've also screwed myself even more.

It will never be implemented because it's so easy to abuse. Example: Someone is mad and salty that he a feeder on his team aka a person who had a bad game. These people would simply false report them so the system wouldn't match them together anymore.

I recommend taking a 2 minute break to decrease the odds of matching with said player or play another short game for 5 min before queueing again.

This should be applied not only to outright blocking someone, but to reporting them as well. There have been several times recently where ive reported someone who was trolling or raging in a game only to be matched with them immediately afterwards. I mean, really?

OmManiPadmeHum3/19/2015, 2:00:15 PM7 votes

+1 I agree. there are so may kids I have blocked because of attitude, gameplay and overall maturity. I would LOVE it if I did not get these players again too.

I get why this happens in ranked.

I do NOT get why normals I have to deal with the same racism-slinging shit stain after I block the twit.

Riot's playerbase isn't exactly hurting for quick queues in Blind

WeFlyNoLie3/19/2015, 6:07:42 PM5 votes

+1 to this

I'm in gold and I still experience this and it is very frustrating.

UPfreely3/19/2015, 6:25:42 PM5 votes

they could do this with bronze/silver/gold but you start running into problems in the higher brackets due to smaller player base

mirAcIe3/19/2015, 2:07:43 PM4 votes

that would make life in challenger so easy

mvargus3/19/2015, 5:34:39 PM4 votes

My one recommendation is that should you ever end a game where someone was trolling/raging don't immediately queue back up for another game. Wait a few minutes so that the troll can get into a game. It isn't perfect, but it greatly reduces the chance of running into the same people immediately.

I've had a couple times where I've had consecutive games with trolls, and the second game is never an improvement over the first.

Colgate Gator3/19/2015, 5:27:21 PM4 votes

My friends and I had the wrong assumption that when you blocked someone, the system made you not queue up with them again, this was disproved when I caught notice of people in my team being muted for some reason from the start of the game, I got curious and unmuted them, then muted then back when I realized why I had muted them in the first place.

My friends still think that though, no matter what I say.

Millea3/20/2015, 4:34:52 AM4 votes

They should do this in normals, but not ranked in my opinion.

Orangesilk3/19/2015, 5:21:22 PM3 votes

It will not be implemented because in the highest tiers the player population is very low and this could certainly lead to abuse.

pE4CbxDPQO3/20/2015, 12:32:03 AM3 votes

People saying "abuse xyz abc", only in challenger will this matter. There are thousands of people queued up to play at the same time as you. It doesn't need to pick the same person.

Tentacle Love3/20/2015, 11:16:03 PM2 votes

There might be enough players in the low ELO's to make that work, but in the higher ELO brackets that would utterly destroy matchmaking and enable teams to seriously hardcore wintrade.

Then again, if a truly toxic player ended up in a very high elo, they'd be incapable of playing if everyone in their bracket had blocked them. That would be an utterly hilarious consequence of their actions.

This is my first season actually playing ranked and it seems like the trolls are quite a bit fewer than in normals. It's funny, I've read a lot of comments and seen a lot of videos talking about how "positivity" plays a big role in victory in this game but I never noticed how true it was until this season. I got really lucky and had some great teams that were really funny and nice to play with and we won every single time. Then my most recent game I had a player literally tell me to shut the fuck up during champ select when I politely requested to play support. I was last pick and forced to play adc even though I warned my team from the get go that adc was my least experienced position. The same player who had been so negative in champ select ended up being my support, he kept making really bad plays and dying, feeding our lane. He verbally harassed me throughout the entire game insisting that he was dying because of me, eventually started harassing the rest of the team as well...and of course we all ended up losing around 20 minutes in.

I honestly don't mind losing, I don't mind being outplayed. A good game is a good game regardless of win or loss...but losing due to toxic team members is such a terrible experience and it makes me want to just quit playing.

So not to derail the OP's topic, but for all you summoners out there...if you want to win, treat others with respect, listen to your team mates, and don't harass them if you start to lose a game. S5 is about come backs, and yelling at people just helps the enemy team.

I think in the long-term, the idea is that reporting would bring some form of disciplinary consequences that would make the toxic player reassess their behaviour and become a better member of the community after their disciplinary period is over, but of course that does nothing in the short term and you probably would still play with them for a few games. There really should be some sort of short-term solutions, but that sounds like a lot of work for Riot to implement a system like that. At the very least there could be some sort of indicator beside a player's name that shows you reported/muted/blocked them before, right? Then at least you're alerted and maybe you can choose to dodge queue? Is it bad that I find it satisfying when the tribunal disciplines a toxic player?

Leoland10/11/2015, 5:39:05 PM2 votes

This NEEDs to be implemented. it is NOT as exploitable as some think and the main victim of the longer queue times is the blocker not the blockees or the general community. i would rather a 40 min queue than to be queued for 40 minutes with a troll who ruined mine and 8 other peoples game.

bad arcade kitty3/20/2015, 1:36:02 AM2 votes

it's abusable to cheat matchmaking

Vuks3/19/2015, 7:34:14 PM2 votes

Other option would be not a permanent lock-out, but a 12 hour lock from being queued both with and against the player. Abuse possibilities highly decreased, yet this would need to be off in plat/diamond+, due to the mentioned playerbase being too small.

Flameelf3/20/2015, 1:04:39 AM1 votes

Everybody wants to play with good players. But if you can choose who you can que with, that will make this game very inbalanced. Most importantly, it will significantly increase the que waiting time as the system has to filter all the blocked players in your list.

Uiru3/20/2015, 1:35:32 AM1 votes

I've taken to blocking people who are either profoundly awful at the game or just at being decent human beings, and to be honest I've only ever seen one guy pop back up and it was weeks later. And I'm gold V ranked / somewhere in high plat normals (I assume, I get diamonds all the time and have seen a few masters, but thanks to Riot for making this information that I want impossible to retrieve!) so it's not like I'm in the largest playerbase either.

And as much as I'd like this to go through, the endgame is everybody blocks people who do shit -> everybody starts getting blocked by other people because nobody realizes how shit they are -> eventually everybody is waiting forever with a queue that just has them in it.

Now, that said, some kind of 72 hour cooldown period wouldn't hurt. (That's realtime, not gametime.) ~Uiru

BallisticMouse3/19/2015, 6:42:08 PM1 votes

This won't be a feature because at higher, and even lower, ranks it will be abused to make perfect teams or no teams at all from how many people you blocked.

Jinte3/20/2015, 12:07:07 PM1 votes

Lol think about high diamond + players then? How long are they going to wait for a queue if they block everybody? Don't just think for yourself.

2pudge1cup3/20/2015, 1:52:24 PM1 votes

I can definitely see it working as long as the list is relatively small.

If it was every single mute/report then it would get out of hand. People already abuse the hell out of the report feature and use it as a "dislike" button.

It could easily just be a separate list apart from mute/report.

Bronze 5 is easy, trolls don't matter

PubgamerAU3/20/2015, 7:23:08 PM1 votes

BRb, blocking all the bad players so I only get the good ones on my team.

QueenAqua3/20/2015, 11:02:17 PM1 votes

When i first startted playing i thought that's what it did, but quickly learned that wasn't the case.

siilentdeath3/21/2015, 6:58:59 AM1 votes

this system needs to be in place. last season i used my block list with a note book to counter pick bad apples on my team when i could. it helped a little bit. when the same people are on your team time and time again and feed each time they are on your team. i report people for feeding if they are playing bad and refuse to make smart decisions sooner than later. i hate the "im sorry i fed earlier im gonna play defensively now" guy. when he/she is already 0/6/0 and clearly was not trying to win. i report those people for feeding all day long. i think you shouldnt be paired with anyone on your block list. if i wait 15 more minutes in a Q then so be it. id rather the 15 to get people who have a LOL IQ greater than that of a raisin.

Enra8/31/2015, 6:29:35 PM1 votes

My life would be more easier if this one come true.

LJgreentigers12/25/2019, 7:19:50 AM1 votes

Yes please fix this. I blocked users who don't care and it's very annoying to constantly queue with someone who just doesn't care...

GundayMonday3/19/2015, 7:12:53 PM1 votes

But please match me AGAINST them.

Bernkastar3/19/2015, 9:55:28 PM1 votes

I have been playing in high Elo since the end of Season 2, finishing the 2014 Season in Masters.

If this system or anything close to it would be implemented, the amount of abuse that would happen in Diamond 1+ would be disgusting. There's no feasible way to curb this . Frankly, I don't care about being in a game with someone toxic I blocked because I know how the system works and denying the validity of the system is not an intelligent way to go about things. You need to stop caring about being in a game with someone you dislike because that's just a waste of emotional energy; if that person trolls you, just accept it, report and move on. Be glad this there's such system in place to deal with misfortunes. This will rarely happen and if you care about your win rate, then the same amount of trolling would occur to the enemy team.

This change would be incredibly unfair to those who playing at Diamond 1+. This change would make the top level solo queue scene uncompetitive and makes matchmaking a lot more chaotic among other problems. I really don't want to wait longer for a queue when I already have to wait 10 minutes sometimes and I also don't want people to get more LP than they deserve because they have a nice list of people they feel that don't meet their standard of play. This WILL get abused and this WILL cause problems on a large scale.

eXe Pheonix3/20/2015, 12:26:15 AM1 votes

i agree u shouldnt be re qued with someone you blocked and i started a post awhile ago about it. im b4 with 400+ games and 50% win rate and i block people because they are bad and dont want to be stuck with them again.

shark music3/19/2015, 6:45:13 PM1 votes

And you mute someone, and then get to the post-game lobby, and they're unmuted again and right back to screaming insults while you're trying to say, "gg that was fun", like a decent human being! Which part of mute was too difficult to be implemented correctly? For a company that says they're trying to clean up the toxic mess that the daycare hours of LoL (noon to midnight) represent, Riot sure does a lot of things that run directly counter to that concept.

As an alternative to the "wait a few minutes to queue again" suggestion, I would suggest switching games modes for a match. Twisted Treeline and ARAM are both fun, and neither has the same length as a regular match, so you're pretty much guaranteed to be desynchronized from the queue dink you're trying to avoid, while still getting to play the game.

Anyway, I agree. +1
