Anivia getting NERF ?!?!?!?!?!?

What is wrong with riot. There is a reason why the put Anivia's difficulty bar to the max. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH HER IS HER ESCAPING SKILLS. Riot nerfed the duration of chill of her Q from 3 to 2 and R duration from 2 to 1. Great now she cannot ESCAPE AT ALL FROM HIGH MOVEMENT SPEED CHAMPS. NO WAYYYYYYYY. BETTER BUFF HER IN patch 5.25. OR DELETE THE NERF, AND NOT APPLY IT TOWARDS 5.24 official Patch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Champion's difficulty has nothing to do with them getting nerfs lol

You do realize it is a change that was added to the PBE, not all of these hit the live servers (Riven's "Edge" mechanic has yet to be re-added to the PBE even). At that, the reduced slow on her Q has been reverted back to live values. Calm down.

The change was already reverted on the PBE according to Surender@20

Also, specific buffs and nerfs to champions are not the only ways that those champions change in power. Changes to sets of items and changes to masteries also have a profound impact on any number of champions at once, from one to all 120+. Right now, Anivia is benefitting from the new Deathfire Touch mastery more than nearly the entire field of AP champions, except for maybe Brand. Therefore, her power differential is causing imbalance.

Giving her a champ-specific nerf is one way of addressing this. However, judging by the revert, I doubt that's how they want to address the issue. Expect them to look more closely at the Deathfire Touch mastery itself.
