Poor Yorick, he gets his "Y" name exclusivity stolen from him Yasuo Poor Yorick, he gets controlled ghouls concept stolen from him by Azir... Poor Yorick he gets his Ultimate stolen by Sion as a passive.. and its better... Poor Poor Yorick, most of league probably doesn't even know you exist anymore.
Can we get a rework now?
Or will we leave him stuck in his own grave?
I'd feel worse for you if Yorick wasn't the most annoying, fun-killing lane opponent in the game.
But a rework would make us both feel better.
They're already working on a rework... But I doubt it'll get here for a while :/
I feel for you because I also love Yorick thematically and game play wise but you are missing the point of his kit. Mostly his ult. Like MordeKaiser you are meant to use it on a carry not on yourself. Its meant to create two carries that you have to deal with in team fights not to give yorick a few seconds of extra life to secure a kill.
But aside from that I think the idea of his kit is weak the mob mentality of the ghouls feels veiled by the fact that they are so weak. I dont think their auto attacks have ever been meant to really hurt anything if anything they are just skill shot fodder. I think they should ditch the fact that they deal dmg on auto attack and add some sort of effect when they attack someone.
Yorick is a beast in lane lmao. I'm a Ryze main and he is an absolute nightmare in lane. The only issue with Yorick is that he can't really carry that well and that he is really more of an off-laner than anything. If anyone is wondering what an off-laner is, it's a Dota term used to describe a champion whose sole purpose is to basically take an opposing laner's presence out of the game by denying farm and exp. So while Yorick does a good job of shutting people down in lane, he really can't carry a team when he's fed like other top laners such as Ryze, Riven, Fiora, Jax and so on an so forth.

Highlight of that discussion was Yorick summoning ghouls that he could order around with another ability and auto attack with, sound familiar

I was just hoping to get some news on a rework, I feel he and perhaps Poppy are the two champions most in need of a rework.
Yorick, because of what two responses have pointed out, is a unfun champion who murders counter play when he is good (just crushes your top laner and denies them everything) and a waste of a top lane pick when he is bad (i mean, he falls off really hard the longer the game goes, and his ult usually relies on another player completely, and even then doesn't feel that helpful).
So yes riot, please rework.
