Can Lux finally be acknowledged as a support and tweaked so she's more viable?
It just doesn't make sense that as a mid laner she can't 1 shot a minion wave until she has 2-3 items, and that her shield is only really good for ignite, or stacking with barrier when you're about to die. Due to these weaknesses it's reasonable that she's played support time to time.
I'd like to see minor changes to buff her viability as a support without making her a powerhouse mid. Here's some ideas I came up with
-
giving allies who run through her E a minor speed buff. If she doesn't use it for poke, she can effectively zone enemies and speed out allies. It wouldn't make her OP mid because she'd have to choose between using it to poke or using it to escape if she misses her binding.
-
Slightly increasing her auto attack range. She has a long range ult but her auto attack is barely even close to her E range? I don't think this would make her overpowered mid, if anything it would just help her finally clear those darn minion waves she can't even one shot.

Lux's shield is unreliable due to having to hit twice to reach the full value, and flies incredibly slow. This makes her W such a clunky ability. I think it honestly just needs a slight tune up and fly out and back faster to be more reliable and rather than completely drop off the hp, stagger it similar to how locket or tahm's shield does.

Vel'Koz/Brand/Zyra are all viable mid despite not having any support like abilities. Lux has a shield but most adc's die a little inside when they see you want to lock in Lux support. I think Lux's passive should be modified slightly to where her E or Q can proc it, or her allies can proc it as well.

The mana cost on her E is ridiculous. Why though? it can't even 1 shot the wave. I suggest perhaps making it have a lower flat cost on the initial cast, but while it's floating on the ground giving vision, it should slowly drain your mana.

Could we get a recommended build for her support in the store if she's ever tweaked to be more viable support?
Anybody else have any ideas or comments on why these ideas would be terrible or good? Really I wouldn't want too many buffs to hit her and then the nerf bat slams her to oblivion again, but having a 46% winrate support and 51% mid while Brand has a 51% in both is disappointing.
Thanks if you read this all and discuss!

, not just the small movement be given but it would be a big movement when disengaging, however, that not enough when it comes to engaging she can also use that to give a shit ton of movement speed. now here a thing you should already know when it comes to Mages, they sacrifice movement speed for heavy CC and heavy ass damage. This is what mages would be.
