Incentive for support?

Riot ive been thinking about the unevenness of roles played, and i thought of a solution, would it work if you just created some sort of incentive for people to play the currently least played roles? like if you were a support you could get a 10% ip bonus when support is the least played role, this system could do an update every week or so based on the amount of people queuing up as that role. i was thinking this would be a good idea anyone else have any solutions?

I don't think this is the right thing to do, although it would be nice, support is part of the game, its not like someone is forcing you to do it, its a mechanic of the game that needs to be filled, just like an ADC has to fulfill his role.

I don't think that support should receive currency bonus's for the simple fact that instead of actually wanting to play the support role it would be the "I need IP quick let me queue as support." I'm all for adding something In-Match to use for supports to make it more fun however.

but some people dont play it simply because it doesnt sound attractive, but for me the more i played it the more i enjoyed the role, i still enjoy top or mid lane and such. also the idea was to also have which role gets the bonus to dynamicly change, so if too many people picked support just to get the bonus the bonus would instead go to a new role, i dont think itll change the idea of people steadfast devoted to their role, but it may convince other players to at least give a different role a try
