Jungle Exp

So this is my first time making a proper new posting on this board, but been a player for a long while. personally I love jungling in this game and have for a while now, through its ups and downs I just find it engaging and fun to play, but these current changes have me confused as to how we are supposed to really well exist, we get even less exp than last season where we could still be behind even when power farming, we don't get comeback exp now so if I am getting counter jungled I don't see how I get back in the game, there is penalty on exp for over ganking or pushing a lane out with a laner so that option is out. I know last season got bad with repeat ganking and not farming much being a common issue and I get solving that, I didn't like it either, but heck I am seeing games where junglers do really well and are the same level as supports or lower, this feels like a giant lock out to any jungler who isn't early game which they already were not in great shape from what I could tell, and while riot seems to want us to spam gank one lane less now I feel like it might end up my only avenue of success since it feels actually impossible to have enough exp to keep pace with other laners and be relevant, so the only path I see is to just abuse low level as hard as possible and make one member of the enemy unable to play all game.

I know I could be wrong here, honestly I hope I am but I just see no way to keep up in exp and im starting to feel like I might as well ditch the jungle and just Que for mid or something so I can at least have exp and dodge games where I get filled to jungle.

All they need to do is slightly buff the respawned xp on all jungle creeps. First clear is fine, being 2-3 levels behind solo laners even if power farming is NOT ok.

we don't get comeback exp now so if I am getting counter jungled

So if the enemy is better you're not cool with that, mhm.

there is penalty on exp for over ganking or pushing a lane out with a laner so that option is out

Well ofcourse it is, if you fail a gank and you are a bad player is ofcourse a pentalty, what you want free xp for nothing?

I am seeing games where junglers do really well and are the same level as supports or lower

They are bad, why when i jungle i'm the first to hit level 18 in the entire game in this new season? is it because i'm cheating? Mhmmmm

this feels like a giant lock out to any jungler who isn't early game which they already were not in great shape

What is this supposed to mean? Early game is completely next level right now, get a kill level 2 on bot lane and secure the scuttlers, this will literally win the game for you. Maybe improve ur jungle? Watch actual good players. rather than ur giga fed friend who just hunted down 23 kills but only 33 farm?

riot seems to want us to spam gank one lane less now

Yess, it always was fun to get spam ganked by some idiot that would go get 1 camp and come back mid towerdive, get anotheer camp, repeat towerdive mid and etc. I never ever ragequitted when the enemy jungle would just spam gank me even when building defensive and sitting under tower, i think that is complete healthy gameplay to take 1 player out of the game, thus why new morde is getting so much love, but unlike morde you can't qss a towerdive.

abuse low level as hard as possible and make one member of the enemy unable to play all game.

the exact thing riot succeded to remove from the game this season. You are now forced into playing the game around the good teammates you have, or playing the game the way you want if all your teammates are braindamaged. WOW! So unhealthy, right? Being forced to play the game rather than camping 1 lane into oblivion and hope other 2 are doing fine.

but heck I am seeing games where junglers do really well and are the same level as supports or lower,

Yes you do. Those are games when junglers spend way too much time ganking with very little average effect per gank, and get punished for that - as the system intended.

If you objectively check your own match history, you will easily find examples of junglers 2 levels ahead on support, even when behind in KD or not extremely fed (i.e. 8-10 shaco, 3-3 le song, 3-1 kayn, 8-11 ekko). So it's kind of clear to me that it is very possible to stay at reasonable exp level.

If anything toplaners are reaching too high levels compared to the rest (partly due to exp change, partly because now that junglers are busy farming and controling bot side we suddenly have too much "breathing space" to just powerfarm), but junglers are perfectly fine.

Jungle catches up in EXP around 15-20 minutes, because the solo lanes are no longer solo and split EXP with 2-3 champions.

The issue is that the jungle is severely behind before that and can't impact lanes, so they fall to their natural winner. By the time you've caught up, the game is largely already over.
