I really think AP Sona mid needs to be addressed more robustly and nipped in the bud. After the Mid Soraka debacle, let's not let this escalate.

It's only fair she be given the same treatment as Soraka.

Just like the oppressive and unhealthy playstyle of Soraka mid/top, it's starting small, and the defenses to this playstyle have the same ring to them as those used to defend Soraka mid. It's unhealthy for the game and inequitable to ignore her after so harshly punishing Soraka.

Mid sona has the worst lane clear in the game though, unlike Soraka who had starcall. Push her shit in and go roam for kills.

Meh. No waveclear, higher mana costs for trading and no form of non-ult CC = not mid Soraka. Old Soraka could push you in and punish you by silencing you easily and outsustaining if you tried to trade. Sona's missing two of those tools and has a shittier version of the third.

Can't say I'm scared of it. Not worth addressing.

yeah.. previous mid soraka was alot worse... the wave clear the silence the stronger self heal that and soraka got that treatment due to identity crisis, she was suppose to be the designated healer of the game sona... not so much

Let's see, mid/top Soraka had:

Starcall spam-clearing every full wave and free-harassing the enemy, including shredding their MR and lowering Astral Blessing's CD
Astral Blessing spam-healing for 70-105+ HP and granting 50+ armor each time
Infuse free-harassing the enemy for ZERO MANA

Sona has no wave-clear, barely any harass, less than half/one-third the heal on a higher cost, longer cooldown and no bonus armor

Do I need to say it? Everyone already sees it. Even you know what you're doing.

I was forced to go solo lane sona a few times because my teammates picked weird dual lane roles without telling the team ahead of time. Please tell people ahead of time if you are going double jungle with your friend so I can pick a champ that won't melt in a 1v2 lane. I really can't stand her inability to wave clear in a solo-lane role.

Mid Sona's has one medium cooldown damaging spell, horrible mana problems and sustain, and only an ult cc. She has no waveclear, crappy sustain, and much more mana intensive poke.

The hillarious thing: The new Soraka counters most assassins, so she can stil wreck mid.

Especially with the new self sustain.

Mid Sona is hardly a problem for a lot of the current meta Mid laners. If you take her Mid lane and do well with her then more power to you. Soraka can still do sort of okay Mid lane if you play it right, the nerfs she had received were pretty needed.

I think it is pretty cool that they can actually do more lanes instead of being stuck as only support. Plus Sona has taken enough beatings from the Nerf Hammer. Leave her alone. lol

Goodness, it's the same tune as mid Soraka, only the words are different.

"She has no mobility." "Ignite or Grievous makes her useless." "Who cares about silence or AR when your ADC just AAs and has armor pen?" "She has to get too close to hit you with Starcall."
