Thoughts on Volibear Rework

I must of played at least 2000 games with Volibear since I started Season 2. Must of been the second or third champ I tried after picking
in my very first game. Loved the champ a lot but his usefulness in a world of champs with increasing CC has completely shown how weak he currently is towards them. Riot are already talking about how they will eventually rework him and change all or a lot of his kit.
[Q] Rolling Thunder: If it remains in the rework there should be something to help it go again slows. Perhaps a normal shield/spell shield that last until the duration each time you q. If the shield goes you can be slowed while in the rest of the q. This make voli a bit more useful in the current game so he does not get over cced as he does. Also if it scaled with AD I think it would be better. Would allow Volibear to itemise better.
[W] Frenzy: I could see this remaining in a rework close to how it is since it's his most iconic ability along with his q. Name could be changed easily though such as to 'Bear's Bite'
[E] Majestic Roar: I expect this to get completely changed but if it remains it could be pretty cool if he could fear champions briefly when used during his ult (if his ult would stay the same but it definitely won't)
A better idea for E would be it transforms from his new ult but it is a toggle that drains mana quickly or it has a shorter cooldown. Would be nice to incorporate the old ult into his kit.
[R] Thunder Claws: A lot of possibilities here. One could be that he pushes enemies back like Gnar and if they hit a wall they are stunned. Another could be 'Sweep' and it's a single knock-back execute or knock-back + stun on wall. Another idea more focused on damage would be Volibear casts down a lightning at a location dealing damage and is empowered with lightning attacks. If he is close to the source of the attacks the attacks can get even longer and attach to enemies in the area even if the original link is from outside the area.
