Tired of Aram dodging problems.

I used to play Aram and basically only Aram and Bots when I first started this game. Now, I've branched out to Summoners Rift Draft. I'm tired of being dictated by dodgers about what I can and cannot play when I was randomized once, then someone dodges. They dodge because they don't get what they want. If someone else gets what they want, guess what? They get punished for the dodge. The people who didn't dodge get punished harder than those who dodged. There is a huge problem here. If I don't like someone, I can dodge. If I played with them before and go into a queue with them somehow again, (yes this happens), they can dodge if you got a favorite champion. How would they know? op.gg isn't a new thing. Lolking isn't new either. There is two ways to fix this that I can think of:

  1. All players that were affected by the dodge will keep the current champion that was in the previous aram game as their 'random' character. The dodger will keep the same character as well. However, the dodger can't reroll until they play that game with that particular champion. This way, the dodger is wasting their time. If they dodge again, the penalty increases exponentially each dodge, for at this point, they are wasting other peoples time. They will continue to keep the same character, the inability to reroll, and will lose stacks of reroll that can go into the negative.

  2. Higher penalties for dodging aram games. I'm not talking slap on the wrists or 5 min timers. I'm talking higher than that.

No, because then someone could get a really good champion and keep dodging with it until they find a team they want.

But you can only dodge so much before the initial penalty activates anyway. There is a punishment system. It's just not severe enough. The point you argue would actually make them lose rerolls and add time penalties. Is it worth it after all those penalties in place? I don't think so.

You dont seem to understand the lengths people go though to get a good champion in aram do you?

Do you understand dice rolls going into negatives is actually contrary to what you just stated yet again?

I wish I were blind like you so I can think everything I say is perfect. But alas I can see so I know when something isn't. Just try and open your eyes a little might help you. Ive dealt with enough of you today so I'm just gonna ignore this one.

So a few things, first being able (forced) to play a champion that you had could be highly abused. Basically you could just dodge games and at some point that champion might really fit into a certain team comp well. Also dodge timers are already like triple that of summoners rift. It's a 15 minute timer for your first dodge and then I think it's an hour after that.

But probably the biggest thing is that a lot of dodges work in your favor. Like all the time when people dodge when you had a "shit" or unfun champion. You get the good with the bad. I think its basically just along the lines of confirmation bias that you really just notice when something bad happens from a dodge

So you are saying 15 mins, 1 hour, and etc is actually worth waiting to find a good team comp? This is after dodging enough to get the champion you want? And losing rerolls while going into negative dice rolls?

What?

They do not work in my favor. I use whatever is given to me. I also build them differently because Aram is more team fight focused.

If you want to complain and whine how the system is broken then you will NEVER become a a good ARAM player. I've played over 6000 games of ARAM. The champion that you play is nothing in measurement to your skill. OH! you win a game on your prefered champion? try building items to force your champion to be relevant to your team comp

there are high skillcap cap aram clubs since aram has no system of rating outside of mmr

i'd just like if the penalty increases exponentially the closer it gets to 0. one hour ban for dodging as the timer hits 0. /end QQ

That comes because their flawed matchmaking (yes, also in Aram). Probably it's actually intentionally flawed, as for their regular matchmaking (which forces you to have a 50% win ratio, putting you in the far better or far worse team). So, in Aram their system gives the op champs to one team (the one who needs to win, likely), and the useless one to the other. No other reason for such a silly unbalancing between team compositions. That ends up in dodging, when people get tired of playing pointless games.
