the difference is you can balance flat stat changes- example, lulu and karma both have shields, these shields should heal for similar amounts of health when used rather than a lulu granting significantly less(given that the second part of their abilities are also similarly valued) so yeah, garen getting that much more may be an issue, but you might compare the exact values with consideration towards other variables(ability rank on garen as well as his armor/magic resist scaling on the ability). but if his level 1 full ad build is stronger(i dont know if it is) then yeah....rito gotta fix that
GrievousFetus4 votesThe rest of their kit is part of the balance of the other abilities. Garen's W passive and Wukong's standard passive shouldn't have identical or similar values, because those aspects of their kit eat up different amounts of their power budget.

fair point, hes only unkillable when fed, and even then cho outscales him. still, in a better position than wukong though

yea, wukong is ass and needs a tune up, but youre literally ignoring every other aspect of their kits, including the fact that wukong is made to dive into teams and initiate fights with his aoe knockup.
while garen is more tanky, because hes slower and an easier target.

to be fair, wukong from his origin has his own movie and is in a number of other video games too(used to play warframe and apparently they have a wukong now too) he also has 2 movies on netflix, why is he so much more popular than some characters who are more well known? i have no idea.... sorry if thats written confusingly, my brain is fried

Son wukong from journey to the west is one of the most iconic asian figures in western history. Even more than jackie chan or bruce lee, or the eastern dragon.
The reason for this is because hes in every asian culture and even goes as far as india, south america, and some parts of the middle east. His story is roughly the same in every culture he appears in and much like the vampire or the grey man he was a cultural phenomenon. He will continue to show up in video games and media because he is the quintessential "supernatural fighter", not to mention the fact that hes still extremely popular in korea and japan... where many of our games and franchises are made or are the most popular.

woodvsmurph1 votesNot all passives are made the same. Jax get's probably 1k plus gold worth of stats in attack speed from his passive. Sona gets some minor extra damage and effect on her next aa, renekton needs to stack 10 autos to empower 1 ability and make it maybe 1.5x it's original power, and kayle gets to stack up to 15% armor AND mr shred on a target. Some passives are better than others. It's when entire kits have all their abilities equal-to or better than another champion's abilities that we have a problem. I do not believe that to be the case with garen vs wukong.
Paladin 0f Life1 votesWu is pretty weak atm he is a fighter that builds assassin so little survivability. And with little cc he isnt a very effective tank. Also unless he gets 2-3 early kills from a noob he isnt very good and you gotta rely on team. I think he needs to have more tank stats to keep up wuth current meta maybe remove some damage cuz his Q has armor shred, make him less reliant on burst and give him a little sustian damage. I know i know wu is burst but it would round out his identity a little more as a dang monkey king
Blue Moon Wolf1 votesIt makes sense since he's a Diver while Garen is a Juggernaut, but it really does need updated. Its arguably a worse 
passive. That said its a bit it has potential to be more Diver like, for example if you were to change how his Q worked a bit to compensate for this, it could be something like:
"Every time Wukong deals physical damage to an enemy champ, he removes X the enemies armor (maxing out at XX Armor) and adds it to his own bonus armor for 5 seconds ."
Obviously just a really rough draft concept but could allow him to keep his teamfight potential while giving him some breathing room during his laning phase.
