Can you get banned for binding left click to attack move click?

Normally you can't do this through the settings but there are a few tutorials on youtube where you recode the settings to do this, with that being said is this riot approved or not?

Normally altering any game files is bannable so you are doing this on your own risk.

Altering game files absolutely is bannable 100%. This is one of those issues of is Riot really going to enforce it

I understand that which is why I questioned if Riot would actually enforce it. However, altering game files is pretty black and white that it is not allowed

doesn't that make it so you cant left click champions/baron anymore so you can't see items/buff timers/hp bars?

I use the T key (azerty keyboard), it's just a habit you have to force upon you IMO, it doesn't matter what key it is on

Yep, that is why I switched mine to A. Attack move click on left click is great for kiting, but then using pings, clicking people, moving items on your bar and other tasks become clunky.

In one of tutorials you bind attack move click to left mouse click and you use the middle scroll button to click on champions/barons etc. So everything you normally did with the left click will now be done with the middle scroll button.

seems like a whole lot of trouble when you can use a key that fits you I mean you already have your hand resting on QWER anyways

I would just force yourself to use a certain key, and after a couple of games it will feel natural

but on-topic: It won't be a bannable offense

I have all my spells 1234, summoners are my back/forward buttons on the side of my mouse, scroll is trinket, qwerty is items lol

I don't think it is punishable.

Though, I would recommend rebinding it for a different key since Left Click is rather useful.

If your mouse has any additional buttons (i.e. Back, Forward), I'd recommend you bind it to that instead.

I edited the config file to do this. It's stupid I have to do this instead of having an interface option. I see no reason why this would be an issue. It's Riot's fault for failing to give proper customizability in the interface.

Custom skins don't affect gameplay, which is why they're allowed. Scripts on the other hand are 100% ban worthy.

custom skins arent allowed as theyre considered 3rd party programs. scripts are ban worthy however their system is so shit youllbe able to play 100 games with your scripts before they even notice anything

I still use it, and have my middle mouse button bound to click for store buying etc

Yes it is a bannable offense. The reason it's bannable is because you are altering your game to give you and advantage, no matter how little of an advantage it is. It's also in the legal agreement that you accept with each patch, for you not to try and alter the game or use third-party applications that can have an effect in the game.

It's bannable because you are changing the coding in your client, which breaks the terms of usage agreement you accept when you first installed the game and every time the game updates.

Also yeah it's not much of an actual advantage. It's actually a disadvantage because your champion will sometimes attack minions instead of enemy champions, and will target wards instead of them as well.

Personally I'm fine with simply having my attack move on my spacebar, where it's easy to reach and doesn't require me to move my have across the keyboard. (Or break the terms of use.)

Guys, guys, it's just the input.ini file; it's already automativally modified when you change key bindings from in game. It's not something they will ban you for, I've had it set up like that for probably 3 years now.

When they say modifying game files is bannable, it's if you add in something to the core files that make the game what it is in order to gain an unfair advantage. Otherwise changing a keybinding is really not bad.
