u can end up anywhere from bronze to plat in season 7, their are too many variables for anyone to predict where u end up

You will be reset to unranked at the start of the season (along with a soft reset to your ranked mmr), and then after your 10 placement matches you'll get placed somewhere based on your final mmr.

So preseason impacts things, but it's still pretty limited. It's possible that going 10-0 in placements without playing anything in preseason while ending the season in silver would result in something like silver 1, while going 10-0 in placements while grinding all the way up to diamond during preseason might turn around and get you plat in placements.

I'd probably expect silver though, but any progress you can make in preseason will help a little bit.

You'll still drop to a lower rank, but any MMR gains you've gotten during preseason still count. So by going up to Gold, you will likely place a little bit higher than you would if you remained in Silver during the preseason.
