Thunderlords Interaction with Passives, Possible Bug?

For Thunderlord's, activating Lux's passive with a basic attack counts as 2 attacks, so for Lux to use Thunderlord's she needs one spell and one basic attack. Brand's passive, however, doesn't count at all meaning if he and Lux traded damage, and each caused damage to the other with one spell, a basic attack, and their passive activated by their spell, only Lux would get Thunderlord's off. Is this intentional? Why do only some passives count?

But other DoTs, like Malzahar's E, at least count for 1 of the 3 needed to proc. Brand's passive counts as 0 of the 3.

It's fair because it's not like Malzahar's E at all. Malzahar's E is a spell, it may be a spell that applies a dot, but it's a separate spell. Brand's passive is not a separate instance of damage so it does not count to one of the three.

Morg's W and MF E both proc TLD with a single spell cast. So do Heimer's rockets.

Sorry, but that is you not understanding how those abilities work. Neither of those are DoTs and both have multiple instances of damage; that doesn't contradict anything of how the game functions.

You're looking at this the wrong way let's look at the difference between the champions we have brought up malz uses an active ability which causes the ping of damage upon cast. While brand does not. Lux causes a a second ping of damage after an aa which a sensually gives her a second auto attack within moments of each other sumlar to Lucian 's pasive which by the way Proxs tld
