Bami's Cinder Revision Suggestion

2/27 PBE Update

With the Cinderhulk enchantment (discussed in link above, sorry but there is a bit of scrolling to do) possibly replacing the Juggernaut, I feel like this may have the potential to be a better overall change to tank junglers. Though I know these changes are tentative, the wording of the piece makes me feel like these changes will be shipped, not just tested for a few cycles and removed.

To get to the meat of the matter, one thing concerns me: the Sunfire-esque aura. It's like Sunfire because it can't be turned off. I would like to suggest that it only deals damage to things you are in combat with. But wait, you say. Isn't that uncomfortably close to the Gromp passive? Well, no, because it also applies when you're attacking something, not just when you're being attacked. I can understand drawing a line between Gromp and Bami's, but a host of problems arise whenever you throw a Sunfire aura onto something, in this case probably being something that will hurt jungle tanks.

Want to walk past Dragon or Baron to clear that ward? No bueno. Hiding around a corner near a camp to wait to ambush someone? Sorry, your position's compromised. Trying to back in one of those aforementioned camps with low health? You guessed it, it's not happening.

The purpose of a jungle item is to provide a foundation for the rest of your buys throughout the game. You don't have the luxury of being a toplaner who can choose a Randuins over a Sunfire, 'cause there isn't a Randuins enchantment. Sure, it's the tank's job to take damage for the team, but when you're making the entire jungle your enemy by constantly aggro-ing it, you're taking a bunch of unnecessary damage you didn't have to.

I think my suggested change, even with a little tweak, could make this into a better, more streamlined item. If it doesn't ship, then I will have typed this all for nothing, but that's okay. I got to have a discussion out of it.

See you on the rift!

I think a toggle would be better than making it activate upon damage being dealt.
