Ranked system unfair

I dont understand what is up with the ranked system. I played my 10 placement games and I won 8 of them. Most of them I carried as well. I don't know how to link a photo but i played the 10 matches back to back and here are my stats. Garen 12/5 // Xin Zhao 12/3 // Tryndamere 8/0 // Wukong 11/0 // Tryndamere 10/4 // Ezreal 16/3 // Olaf 10/5 // Wukong 14/1 // Wukong 10/2 // and on my last game I played Ezreal and I went 19/0. In all of these games i had great farm and took down lots of turrets and inhibitors. Then I was placed in Bronze 2. This makes absolutely no sense to me. I played 10 great games and won 8 of them yet i didn't even get into silver...... If someone could explain why this happened to me or help me out it would mean a lot to me because I worked really hard in these games and my heart was broken to see that i got Bronze 2. Please help me!

Nothing is up with the ranked system, you get placed based on what division you ended up in last season, along with your performance from your promos. Seeing as how you were bronze last season, its only natural that you end up in bronze after promos. After looking at your match history, you are a skilled player, just keep playing and you will climb the ranked ladder with ease.

I guess it would seem fair that i was placed in the same tier as last year but I thought that if you did good enough in your placement matches you would go up a little bit. I played carry roles and in those 10 matches my k/d was ~5.3. I feel like the ranked system should be a little kinder and not base players off of how they were in the past

Keep in mind it was still a reset, so the idea wasn't to put you higher than you were before. You are lucky if you are in the same range as you were last season. Also just because you were placed there doesn't mean you will stay there forever. Good luck on the fields!

So, your starting rank is also dependent on who you played. It might have placed you against groups ranging from bronze 5 to bronze 3, and saw you stomp them, so it put you above them all. I think it has some wonky interaction with your normals MMR, but have absolutely 0 evidence of that, just conjecture. It sounds like you're wrecking though, and should be climbing just fine. This has been asked and answered many times before. It's based on your hidden mmr and your previous rank as well as preseason rank. If you can carry games so hard, then why are you so worried?

Thanks for your response Ragnola. I understand what you are saying and it makes more sense. I am worried because even if you are really good at league of legends, there is a limit to how much you can carry in a game. I was fortunate to not have too many bad teammates in my placement matches, but last season I found it incredibly hard to climb out of bronze because of feeders and afkers. I am a better player now and I hopefully won't struggle to get out of bronze this season, i just felt like i deserved to at least get Silver 5 so i didn't have to go through that. thats again for your reply.

Don't lose hope :) I was Gold 4 last season and got to Gold 3 Pre season and then placed in Gold 2 this season with 7 out of 10 games won in placements. This means that if you do really well this season, next season you may place higher as well due to high mmr.

Can you explain to me what mmr is. I have been playing league for a while but i don't know ranked terms.

While I don't know what the letters stand for, my understanding is that it is how Riot rates you as a player. Higher mmr means more skilled player. Unfortunately, Riot doesn't tell us how this is calculated nor do they show us the rating. We only know it is used to determine LP gains and placements.
