I get why solo queue is gone

League is about team play and communication. The very reason for all the "solo queue hell" comments is simply that, you have elo hell at all tiers. Skill is a factor but, individual skill cannot circumvent better team play. This is why they balance champs against pro play, not because of how the best play each champ, but how the best teams play each champ together. Some individuals are better team players in solo queue, can read the map better, have better intuition and just seem to operate together with minimal communication (pings). Its when you get that rare group that just seems to be playing with the same brain. Unfortunately, this random determination of match making is a rare event. Hence, to make ranked play a better experience no more solo queue. Find those people to play with in regular queues and make a conscious decision to form a team and play ranked.
