Bard's abilities... didn't Riot learn their lesson with Thresh's Lantern in solo queue?
Bard has 2 abilities that require people on the team to a) anticipate their use, and b) actually click them to make Bard half-way useful on the team.
Without using Caretaker's Shrine as an empowered stationary heal it is merely a lackluster direct heal. Part of the trick with these is placing them where people will need them. But in most of my games low health allies run right past them, even when being chased.
Magical Journey has a VERY low mana cost and a VERY low cooldown, meaning it is something that could be used constantly, but teams don't anticipate it and so run and scatter and are seldom in position to use it. Even doing Dragon and Baron where it offers a safe escape, everyone just runs out of the pit the long way often to their deaths.
I hope folks get the hang of these abilities but they sure feel like they're going to go the way of the Lantern.
