patterns of matchmaking after a rank up

So I am a silver scrub, I am not especially good mechanically nor am I great decision wise. (i chalk it up to starting to play the game at 25, which is kinda old for a MOBA player to start).

I have been on losses that tilted me so hard I had to go reads threads about how everyone's team was horrible to kinda get an echo chamber relief. I know it's bullshit, I don't' believe for a second that riot INTENTIONALLY forces bad teams on decent players to fuck them. IMO it's a combination of the MMR system, your mentality, and plain coinflip. so I just wanna distance myself from those people.

But since I've started playing the game (about three years ago) I have in fact noticed one pattern that was always present in my ranked climb. The moment I climbed a division I would lose games even if I did really well. poor team decision making and enemy team just playing better than us. but I always found weird how my win streak mentality would not change the moment I climbed a division and get on the next game and even with that I'd still lose the game.

I am not kidding, every time I get a new division (which I worked really hard in order to get), everything would work against me the next game in order for me to lose, then I would lose my positivity too and inevitably go on a losing streak.

Does anyone identify with that? For me it's always been like this from bronze 5 0LP (yes, I used to be there, but I got better lol), every division I'd get was never a definite thing, I'd flip-flop until I finally "settled my claim" on that division, all the way to gold 2 it's been like this.

this season I had a 7 game win streak from plat 1 0 lp to d5 0 lp. guess how many games I lost after that ? same thing from d4 to d3, always a loss streak after a win streak. but hey matchmaking isn't working against you.

I once had a 7 win streak to be pushed back with a 9 defeat streak. I can completely relate as a "Silver scrub" myself.

Recently I was promoted to S1 with ease and the next moment I lost 2 matches while at 0 LP (still there too) because of poor teammates (trollers, ragekids, skillwise incapable).

Yes, the matchmaking works like that. But the question is whether it's worth it. In a simple answer, no it's fucking not. You're supposed to be in the rank you deserve based on your skill. The system should be practically saying "you're G5 because you deserve G5 based on your skill", not "hey you won a lot so fuck you".

Last season on one account I climbed from mid silver to gold 5 (was the intended stopping point), and decided to play some after that just for fun, maybe hit plat on that account. I hit gold 5 with an MMR of gold 2 (according to op.gg). Then proceeded to lose 7 matches in a row... tanking my 70% win rate on Morgana, and 60% overall win rate.

I was in an ocean of gold 5 washouts with negative win% being some of the most toxic asshats Iv ever seen.

I used to have screenshots of the LP gain/loss graphs on a USB drive, but I dont feel like pluging in a dozen USB sticks to find them.

Im about to do promos for Gold 5 on this account, I wonder whats waiting for me after I hit gold.... cringe.
