Vote to Dodge... not vote to kick.

I have seen this vote to kick option in ranked requested so many times but people are looking at this all wrong. Lets just say for the sake of argument, Riot adds vote to kick, are you expecting the same exact team + the new person, that would disrupt pick orders, bans, counter picks etc. Would ban/picks restart, well now the enemy team knows who to ban. No, your asking for the ability to vote as a team to dodge a match and go back into the queue, so lets ask for that. As a parent I teach my kids that if they want something they have to ask for what they actually want, they are more likely to get it that way.

Right now, if you dodge one match, you lose 3 LP, get a 6min re-queue timer (which is actually helping you not to get stuck with the same idiot again...(how many times has another member of your team dodged because of a troll and when you get back into champ select you have the same troll on your team?) Every dodge after the first one (for the next 16-24h, not exactly sure) LP deductions jump up to 10 and timers 30 mins. the first dodge isn't so bad, but those later ones really start to add up, especially in bronze where tensions are already maxed out and there is a larger population of trolls.

Now onto the point of this post. Instead of asking for a free dodge, because the ability to take advantage of that is SUPER high, I am suggesting that we get the ability to vote for a dodge (3 people have to agree to avoid the duo queue trolls from forcing a game). If the vote succeeds, all members of the team lose 5 LP and gain a 3 min timer. I think this would strike a nice balance between incentive to playout unfavorable matches and ability to not be forced into a 20-45min waste of time. I also feel that this would reduce the frequency of trolling by making it harder to actually get into a game and troll. (there will still be plenty that just show as a trolls during champ select).

Now, some may say that just because a team member picks a champ you don't think they should does not mean they are wrong, and I agree 100% with that, but this is a team game and if the majority of the team does not agree with your pick why should the be forced to play that out. This system would also increase constructive communication during champ select, in my opinion, and help create the "team" atmosphere that the Riot expects from us.

Does my solution sound good to you? Please give me your opinions, or suggestions. I know the system I created here is not perfect. It can still be taken advantage of, and does not eliminate trolling, but I do think it is a step in the right direction.

While I personally dislike it when players pick champions that don't seem good for the team or aren't very useful in general (i.e. Teemo, Yi) I am not for FORCING players to play champions they can't play, don't want to play, or don't own(this one isn't possible, but they can get punished for it) just because their team wants them to. All it will do is cause people to dodge and lose LP for not even getting INTO a game if someone picks something the players can agree on that they don't want to play with.

Also a problem that your post doesn't address is how it would affect promotions and tiers/divisions. If you were at 0LP, worst case scenario for you is you dropping a tier/division just because your teammates decided they didn't like a champion someone on their team picked. Also the last thing that I will say that is BAD about this proposed suggestion is because it ruins diversity. Take Bard as a good example. From what I heard Bard was EXTREMELY disliked when he was released, so people would just have a bunch of dodges whenever he was locked in, causing toxicity and promoting nothing. Eventually, Bard can come into his own niche, all champions will, but with the system you want in place, you discourage innovation and even PUNISH the attempt of it if enough of your peers don't agree with it.
