The State of Aurelion

Hello. I've searched the forums looking for answers from Rioters, but there seems to be no official response to the topic. On the ASol main subreddit, there's a ton of talk about how a revert is something the majority of players want for Aurelion. I mean the majority, not every single one. To make things more interesting, the champion has an absurd winrate in high elo while he remains completely out of reach for anyone below platinum. That seems to be the exact opposite result of what the intention of the rework was. The champ feels clunky and uninspired compared to his old kit. So if the champ is way too strong in high elo, not played by low elo and generally disliked by the playerbase who used to play him, is there a chance we will see him reverted? It's been months now and I don't see any official Riot statements either way. I need some closure. Is this being monitored? Do you guys consider this rework a success? I just need to know! Thanks for reading, I'm sure I can find days worth of content talking about how a revert is what the majority (again, not everyone but the majority) of his players want, if Rioters can't find it for themselves.

Sincerely, MultipleMitch

Amazingly, ... I don't think I have played him since this rework, .. I actually don't recall this happening ...

I actually really like the asol changes, after a couple games to get used to them.

Spamming w constantly, including ending it as soon as possible, lets you get a stupid amount of consistent mobility, and the high star move speed when its first activated means you can duck in and out without losing all your dps.

The q cooldown reduction is great, and the ability for it to move faster with you means that you can do some great stuff with move speed bonuses.

The e changes combined with the q speed change lets you do some really big initiates from far away.

Admittedly, I am uh, rather unconventional in how I play and build him, I reckon. My main build is archangels > boots > deadmans > maybe some mr thing > spellbinder. I run phase rush, ghost, and cdr. And I really do just spam w on cooldown once I get the mana for it, essentially all the time. And I will also freely admit that I am a silverish player who essentially never plays ranked, so there is a fairly high likelyhood that the weird builds that work for me don’t actually work at higher skill levels, but eh, thats my thoughts anyway.
