Hello Fellow players, My names UmmTom and i'm quite pissed. So today I finally finished my placements, I went 5/5. Last season I was b2 and I thought I had improved tremendously from last season. I played 9 Brand Support game and 1 Jhin adc game (autofilled). I finished with solid Brand games and had 1 bad Jhin adc game (support afk'd at level 1). So thinking that I had played pretty well and maybe having a chance at silver but no, I got f*****g Bronze 4. How!!!!! Someone plz explain or if you want share your ranked placement experience. Anyways, you can check my match history if you really want. ~UmmTom

I will explain.

When a new season starts, your mmr has a 'soft reset'. Meaning it gets lowered, so you wont be placed the same/higher than last season.

Which also put the restriction on diamond+ players that the highest they can be placed is plat 1.

you most probably no matter what division (most of the time) will only be placed a few divisions lower than your previous season. In some cases when you lose a lot of your provisional games you will be placed a lot lower.

Thanks for the explanation but if you were b2 and now b4 trying to climb to silver, how do i progress any further if I'm playing with bad players?

If you're in bronze, you're also a bad player.

Well that's the thing. You will just have to improve and hard carry.

Learning how to micro and macro or w.e those things are named. Be the shotcaller, and also I believe in bronze solo its good to splitpush, since most bronze players doesn't know how to handle it. Put all the pressure you can on the map basically.

I'm not really the best player to ask for advice on how to carry and progress out of bronze, in season 5 I got placed in bronze 1 but climbed out in basically 1 day, since most players I were playing with were also early players doing their provisionals as early as possible.

I don't really know how good or bad you are, so I can't really say what you need practice on. Neither am I of a "good coach" caliber to teach you (and you play on a different server)
