clash tournament unclear

So my team won the first match in bracket, then we won second game and we though it was over.. but no, for some reason we had to play against team we already have won against... In my opinion, this is really unclear. We should get more informations on how it works before it started... so now my team was on a roll we could of gotten 3-0, but we got 2-1 just because it was unclear
