Why I'm uninstalling league

DemonEyeMe··2 votes·1,050 views

So, for the past few months I've been getting random lag spikes in my game. I could be playing normally and out of nowhere my fps drops to 10 for a few seconds. This is fine in early game, but in team fights this just makes everyone lose.

I don't want to ruin any more games for other people so I'll just stop playing. (If you have any solutions for this problem just reply, I couldn't find any)

EDIT: I'm playing smite now. I'm just no longer gonna check this post.

FPS is computer-related. Maybe caused because of forced disc-operations (RAM-dependend) or because of programs as antivirus or checks for any software-updates (windows, grafic card, whatever "calling home" program) and a loooot of other possible reasons why your computer ressources are randomly busy so that the FPS are going down. Reason for this are most often this updates of software like Windows and nvidia wich reset individual settings.

Thing is I don't have a constant low fps. It just randomly drops from 120 to 10 for 3 seconds and then goes back to normal for a while. I always have all of my programs off while playing league. My antivirus only works when I turn it on.

Glad you are erring on that side of things, but I think you are being hasty.

Take a look at connection support for League. It very well could be something that can be easily fixed and restore normal gameplay, like an old device or a damaged cable that your ISP needs to tend to.

Lol sorry I was a bit mad because of the lag at the time.

I'll look into it.

Have you tried downloading the Hextech repair tool?

It didn't help.

I also had lag spikes on my laptop, turned out it was due to graphics card lowering clock attempting to cool itself. It could be something remotely like that

I reinstalled my graphic card, didn't help.

Ive noticed a big issue w/ random packet loss in the last couple months, even streamers w/ solid setups are experiencing this packet loss randomly in games (saw voyboy dealing with it on stream a week or so back).

Its really obnoxious and I've noticed that these issues have been more frequent since riot put in the new client.

It's an issue on Riot's side. They have a bug, and it's been reintroduced in the last patch. I had this tiny lag spike issue about two months ago for a week or so and then it was resolved. Popped back up again right after Akali patch.

1080GTX, all 2TB in SSD drives, 16GB RAM... It's not my pc. It started last night after updating to Akali patch, i'll see you in a week or two when it will get fixed, and if it doesn't get fixed, I'll just find something else to play.
