When u think about it, the players kinda helped with the malz rework.

Look at the current Malzahar , more specifically his playstyle. Using abilities for their effects more than their damage while summoning a swarm of voidlings. U get a couple out and u ult someone. The ult deals little dmg but the voidlings maul them to death. Dose this ring a bell?. It should since it's basically the way u played ADMalzahar pre rework. Off meta stuff comes from the players, not riot. Only thing is now ur abilities deal more dmg because they scale with AP. When u think about it, all riot really did was come up with his new passive.

Be proud. U guys helped make this

You know that one comic of that guy on a bike crashing himself with a stick? Sometimes it's literally the most accurate thing to describe the community's relationship with Riot.

Old malz was so much more enjoyable to play. After so many games with old malz, new malz sucks to play with. I could actually control the voidlings by aa'ing, now they just act on their own. I find my self summoning voidlings and aa'ing, then a few seconds later after im fighting, i realize they are still fighting minions.

Really all they had to do was remove the .5 sec delay on his ult suppress so he wasnt constantly cc'd by the person he was ulting.

I would be so happy tieing the spellshield into his ult, reduce damage/ increase cd's, and give old passive back.

Yeah the only time you really should have had hi current passive was when ulting.

I really miss purple zones of doom also. Such a great zoning tool/big dmg vs tanks. I know its on his ult but that just seems silly to me since the good malz players could actually pair the skill before the rework.

Honestly...

If someone asked me what Malzahar's weaknesses were, I'd reply with immobility, being ganked and getting stunned right after ulting

If they asked me if I wanted that to change that, I'd say no because if I couldn't accept those weaknesses, I wouldn't be playing Malzahar in the first place.

Immobility means Malzahar gets stronger spells (Compensation amirite?) Ganks can be prevented by being aware and having wards Getting stunned or silenced after Ulting would be MY fault because I am supposed to ensure that it is safe to root myself for 2.5 seconds.

Old Malzahar was more about being in control.

Now new Malz has: Less controllable voidlings

A shield that comes up whether you want it or not (Negating immobility and lowering burst)

A combo (EQ) that entirely depends on if the opponent is stupid enough to get close to you or be close to the minions bouncing the E Versus being able to poke with a 900 range Q Nuke or a 800 range AOE spell for catching them with Rylai's

And an AOE spell that cannot be placed anywhere you want anymore (RIP Null Zone)
