What is the point of having Ranked Teams anymore?

I mean, now that teams of five can queue up for what used to be solo/duo queue, why would they waste their time fighting fairly in Ranked Fives, when they can just rofl-stomp in "dynamic queue". And for that matter, what is the point for a solo player to even try playing ranked, now that individual skill means next to nothing against five people communicating with voice chat. Just really have no idea how Riot thinks any of this is a good idea, really disappointing to see League die like this.

Tired of seeing this posted. Dynamic queue, meaning a full five team will get matched with another full five team. It's not rocket science. /thread

You can also do Ranked 5s with any of your friends whereas with dynamic queue you're restricted as to who you can queue with.

I should also note that it's a different accomplishment. Ranked 5s are about a team and team rewards. You rise as a team, you get ranked as a team, and you get rewarded as a team. The dynamic queue is all about individual rewards and accolades.

There is no such thing as individual skill in the current solo/duo queue unless riot makes it judge upon how you do as a player to gain/lose points instead of if your team win/lose.
Teams introduced into the dynamic queue can actually help players learn how to play like a team. Which is healthier and better to balance around than the current solo/duo system.
League isn't dying with these changes, its evolving.

Well, you get rewarded as a team, which has its differences with the new "solo q". Generally you will not join with 5, but rather 4 players so you are not paired up with 5 other pre-made players.

You get a special title stamped to your name when you do ranked 5s, who doesn't want ~~clutter-causing~~ names?
