Will I enjoy the "new" Swain

I mained Swain back in season 2 and 3, I recently came back on a new account and was sad to see they changed him. Does he play similar to his old kit or does he feel entirely like a new champion?

He has some similarities, but there's a good number of differences. Mostly to make him more interactive.

He's still a durable mage that's meant to go into teamfights, with an AoE ult that has a drain. Has a root and a delayed AoE, as well. but the mechanics have changed a lot.

Well I didn't really play much Swain, but I actually kinda liked and played him few months before rework. I didn't play new one, because I didn't like him. I liked old Swain for high damage output from E-W-Q, I didn't find that combo with a new Swain, I felt like he does 0 damage, which is ,of course, not true, but I just felt this way, so I didn't pick him again.

New champion. Fun. But its not the same play pattern.

His power is shifted far more into late game. Early game you are pretty weak, so don’t try to do anything that old Swain could do. As you transition into mid game, you become a burst mage, but then fall off a little at late game.

It’s a pretty big nerf, but he’s still pretty fun. A completely different champion.
