Malzahar

Malzahar is one of those champions that have been around for along time and that's something to respect but is it time that the old sport gets a little light shed on him? It's universably agreable that with strength there should come counterplay whenever it may be Illaoi's tentacles being dodgable to ruin her day or hiding behind minions effectively to prevent a thresh or Blitz hook but for when it comes to Malzar it's completly different. Normaly his E is maxed first for waveclear and to help farming but the fact of the matter is that being a point-and-click ability, it has immense power for trades. An equally leveled Malzahar and Azir in mid lane mid game can be a good example. One use of E and one third of Azir's health is gone. It's not the damage from an ability that is the problem, it's the focus of his power is on his E so much rather than something more fair like a skillshot, or something that requires more skill than clicking the opposing champion in lane. I'm not even going to touch his suppression ult because we all know that it's the same concept. When it comes to champions shouldn't there be at least some form of counter play introduced?
