I can see him supporting as well (high base dmges with aoe stun and his ult is pretty good at peeling)

I doubt this will happen; the passive will interfere with farm too much and cause for an almost always pushing lane.

Stick to the sides and keep your starts close to you should control the pushing. If you can maintain bush control you can have that aoe stun whenever you want. I think it's situationally viable, but not quite meta
