Kindred needs a hot fix, or a rework of some sort

Kindred's win rate has plummeted from a relatively balanced 50ish % to around 45%. I look at the balance change list on the PBE and I see nothing in regards to this I'm aware that the change in marks was a step in the direction of compensation, but I think that especially with the new ADC item changes, we need to look at _HOW and __WHEN _we want kindred to deal DMG during the game. I'm really concerned as to the direction of my favorite champion... Kindred

Do not rework my champion. If anything they need to have their identity given back to them with their HP Shred passive, it's not/never was true damage, it was totally resistible bonus physical damage, and put them in a niche. Now they're Tristana Lite with their scaling auto attack range.

I also believe that they need to have their movement speed made to be competitive with the rest of the jungle roster. Currently Kindred sits at about 325 base momvent speed, the lowest tier besides Janna and unmounted Kled. While Graves and others are sitting at 340 and 345 base movement speed, yet they are not required to go zipping around the map to scale into their late game on highly visible, easily contestable marks.

Kindred just needs a full scale rework in general. Since the original changes to W however long back, the champion is a niche troll pick that needs one of the steepest snowballs in the game to actually be of use. Which is a real shame cause I love Kindred's design and theme, but damn is that champion actually useless when it comes to gameplay.

Just revert Kindred and give her her heal back. Problem solved.

The changes to crit harmed her already expensive for a jungler build path in both damage output and cost to reach full build. She was already just Okay, but the mark changes were to compensate for already lower than expected performance due to scuttle being worth far too much right now. As much as I enjoy playing her, I can't deny she isn't good right now. I tried to ask in meddler's post after the last patch, but I never got a response. I don't think they accounted for Kindred at all when making the adc item changes.

As I've said in another long post, the champion is filled with noobtraps. People are already terrible at adapting with the champion, but jungle changes with Scuttle made it extremely more volatile. A well-pathed jungler can also be a well-pathed Kindred and does not require marks to succeed! This is unlike pre-bonus AD Kindred, who entirely relied on marks to really do any damage mid to late game.

Kindred does indeed need a rework. But the majority of the goal behind it should be to stop players from falling into pitfalls the champion indirectly encourages you to walk into. Pursuing marks instead of counterjungling, building Runaan's or IE not acknowledging when these purchases are still valuable to the champion compared to other options, not building BoTRK as an alternative option...like bruh, it's not even surprising why the win rate dipped. Riot is to blame for making the champion, the players are to blame in that they aren't learning properly. But Riot calls "burden of knowledge" an anti-pattern, so it does fall to them for the responsibility at the end of the day to fix this issue.

As a Kindred super one trick with 1.5 million mastery I agree haha. The champ has always been difficult to balance for some reason. Kindred seems to only be viable in master/challenger ELO or mayyybe bronze. After several thousand games on the champ, I've decided that their biggest problem is this: it takes higher skill players on kindred's team to win with kindred than it does on the enemy team to defeat kindred. For example, if both teams are equal and maybe gold elo skill, the side with kindred has a disadvantage. That's a problem. It's much easier for a gold/silver/plat player to camp and gank kindred at marks for "free kills" than it is for your team to trust you and help with marks and invades. To your team, kindred is such a bad champ that they shouldn't ever risk anything trying to help them; they're too weak to win a 2v2 even (which is untrue). I believe that is their mentality. Many games I've won because I was getting camped so hard that the rest of my team had freedom to do anything they wanted.

If you change the mark system, or maybe make it easier for kindred to defend themselves pre 6, the winrate would go back up.

What Kindred needs more then anything else is nerfs to early game ganking and increase to game length. Her whole concept as a champion kind of fails if her presence on a team almost guarantees there wont be a late-game for the ADC jungler to scale into. The space for a farming jungler, or a jungler with a weak mid-game needs to actually exist, otherwise any changes are either futile or "over-buffed till she's broken enough it doesn't matter."

Agreed. I would really like to play Kindred myself, but it seems that champions like Kindred and Thresh will sit on the wayside for a while. They get too popular in Pro Play I think which Riot hates making changes which may affect pro play if there is a tournament coming up.

It looks like she sucks with 2 items, but if she gets to her third one her win rate skyrockets. So it sounds like she doesn't work in the jungle on average because she can't get fed when played by a non-main.

Her win rate also goes up a lot from 10 games played through 80 games, so it seems like she needs to be mained.

I think the most reasonable thing to rework how kindred get's her marks. Example lets say it takes a mark need 20 minions to get a mark. Cannon minions would be 5 minions worth of stack. Large jungle monsters would be worth 4 minions. In Enemy jungle large jungle camps would be worth 6 minion worth. Well, epic monsters would give 1 full stack each. This would allow kindred to more viable in lane. Well, also making her less feast or famine as she can get marks from various sources.

Maybe people didn't adapt and she should build botrk malmortius BC kind of stuff?
