Champion sets for pick phase.

It would be great to have custom champion sets that you can view during the pick phase. Currently during pick phase you can type in "Support" to see all champions that Riot have put the tag on but it doesn't come up with champions such as Morgana or Leona. It would be helpful to have a way to either add champions to a set, or just set your own tags to individual champions, with either choice allowing you to search for the keyword and bring up all the champions (same as typing in "support" brings up a group of champions). I find it to be beneficial to decision making to see all my options at once. It would also be better to be able to add champions to multiple sets / add multiple tags to champions due to flex pick champions.

TL;DR

  • Be able to add champions to sets/set custom tags to champs

  • Be able to search set name/tag during pick phase.

Sets would be cool, It would def help those hardcore ranked players who like to test champ pools etc. Heck with that I might even dork it up and join them. Nice idea :)

It would be nice just to have tabs that we can create kind of like how we can make item sets. We could name them however we please too, this would be very convenient for players that have every, if not, most of the champions in the game. I can think of certain tabs I would create and update regularly;

Bans Top Mid Jungle Support ADC

I understand you can just type marksman or whatever else into the search bar but this idea would take a lot less time, plus the fact I along with a lot of players like to play "against the meta" type of picks. This would be very helpful as I normally have a very good idea of exactly what I want to play before I go into a match.

You can use the search function. Type in Marksman you have all your adc, etc.

As I stated before this is not a solution due to Riot not having all applicable tags on champions. Leona and Morgana do not show up if I search "Support" to name a few.

Is this new? It didn't used to do that.

I first saw it while watching a stream on twitch. It really comes in handy at times.

It truly is a needed feature. I keep seeing this suggestion popping up on the forums.

Me personally, I'd love to be able to make custom categories. I'd like to make "mains", "off-mains" and "troll picks" catagories.

I made a silly little program that does this for me. I just type the lane, and an image of each of my top 5 picks for that lane pops up :P

Just finished first year Computer Science, so it was a fun little project.

I often don't know what to pick...

Thats pretty cool, I was thinking of just taking the icons for each champion cutting an image together with all my picks as a janky way to see them all at once.

Not terrible idea, just don't see why Riot needs to do it, or spend time to. People should know what champs they have, what roles they are in, and how to use them. Not Riot's job to post every support non-meta champ that becomes good in a role for us. We can research, and find out very easily and then practice them (especially before going into ranked). I know this is all kinda a novel concept for some, but I would rather they spend time actually improving the game then to have to babysit every champ on what their "flavor-of-the-week" role is.
Have seen much worse ideas, just don't think needed again is all.

Well look at it from the perspective of ranked teams, if one person is making the decision on team comps it would be a useful tool to be able to set groups of champions that you can view to see what each of your player's champion pool is. Of course you should know what you have, but it is pretty difficult to remember what others play, what they are most comfortable on, or if they no longer play a champion due to current meta. This could be a very useful tool so that you/everyone can have more information faster.

+1 Rito plz

Nope. This highly requested feature will not be added. Instead, we shall work on a Call of Duty type system to show proficiency with a champion. A system in which no one asked for.
