Small change to improve Lux
Hello guys, i love to play Lux, she is my favorite champion in the game, she was my first champion and i been playing her a lot since then, however i feel she is not very popular because, besides of her well know weakness (she is very mana hungry and all her abilities are skillshots), she is not precisely what we call a burst mage (not until she has all her items), during early game she is more oriented to harass her enemy with E and Q taking advantage of her long range, and that’s the reason she can’t have high AP ratios, I’m not complaining, imo this is part of her personality and i don't think she have to burst you, like Veigar does with his combo. But there are a possibility to improve her whole game without buffing her AP ratios or lowering her mana cost, and that is making easier to use her passive in order to make her more effective when fighting/harassing enemies.
I think the Lux’s passive is great, other mages only cast all their abilities and kill you, but Lux has the unique mechanic of Spell + aa, she can make you 3 different kind of damage in no time (spell base dmg + aa dmg + passive dmg) however I feel this mechanic is not fully exploited when playing her.
Her basic combo is Q + E + aa, in this one you are not making all the damage you are supposed to do because you are missing one aa (after Q), and the same goes for Q + E + R + E + aa, other champions like Jax can make insane amounts of damage in a really small time resetting his aa with his W and plus dmg using items like Hydra or devourer, so I think Lux should be able to do something like that. So I suggest make at least, one of the Lux's spells reset her AA. I'll suggest Q or E, or both. Currently you can’t make the full combo because there are a high possibility your enemy fly away of the Q root (2 seconds in all levels), if she is able to reset her aa u have more time to fully use her passive. Is not a major change and doesn’t change her play style at all and I don’t think this can make her OP.
Opinions?
