Curious as to what ADC mains think of the new changes.

As an ADC main myself I was very happy with the new changes. ADC's have been weak for so long and with tanks getting buffed it was harder then ever to try and take down someone with 5K health and 250+ armor. Only thing you could really do was wait to late game till you had a bork+L.W

With the addition to cheap armor pen, crit and just more overall AD we could finally do something to those pesky tanks. I however thought that this was going to bring back the assassin meta. But it seems that the AD's are easily able to survive the burst of most assassin unless the assassin in question gets significantly ahead in the early stages of the game.

Don't get me wrong I hated getting instantly bursted by every single slightly fed ap/ad mid laner but sadly that is there roll as an assassin, and you yourselves even say that in the team builder loading. "An assassin is an egile champion who specializes in seeking out weaker targets killing them quickly and mercilessly." The problem right now though is that assassins can't get in the position to actually do this effectively anymore unless the game goes on long enough and with games being shorter then ever it's really hard to do that.

However for the first time ADC are actually making a difference in team fights during the mid game. In the previous tank meta ADC's pretty much just tried to stay alive past the team fight and if they won that the ADC would just push the tower but now they can have an impact in the how the fight plays out. But that shouldn't mean that they are invulnerable to being bursted down.

What do other people who main ADC think?(Other rolls welcome)

Frankly I hate most of the changes. Games snowball too far out of control too fast, towers are even WEAKER now. ADCs are too hard to kill now, unless severely outnumbered.

(Seriously, 12% of incoming damage turned into a dot, and 12% damage mitigation against any single target of your choice, like wtf.)

RNG has become an even worse problem now, with it becoming stupidly easy to achieve 100% crit with just three items, tanks not named Garen, Rammus or Malphite cannot exist....the list goes on.

The only thing they did do a good job of was making most of the main adc's very different and gave each reasons to be picked.

oh, and Mejai's is super cancer now.

Thoughts from the Silver 4:

  • ADCs weren't that weak last season, they just felt awful to play. That has been buffed but not fixed.
  • Overall, Jinx feels exactly the same and I wouldn't be surprised if she got nerfed again.
  • I don't think that marksmen are particularly overpowered, nor do I feel like counterplay is gone.
  • Mobile assassins are doing fine, particularly Yasuo. Dude needs a nerf.
  • Tanks are basically nonexistent, except for Garen

Almost every Marksman feels distinct and viable, and I have actual options for itemization based on my lane and future team fights. Feels fucking good.

Also, nerf the fuck out of Graves. Like seriously.

I dunno, i find these changes don't really benefit me much with such adc oppressors like Yasuo and Tryn recieving more power from the itemization then we did.

Also i'm probably doing it wrong but the ramp up time to actually get threatening damage as most of the marksman seems epically low. The ones that are actually feeling alright are "Crit Casters" things like vayne with truesilver or lucian with essence reaver.

Most others have this awful feeling cs phase and if they let you get to 3-4 items holy crow pewpewpew but with the mega aggresive bruisers and mid laners hitting larger power deficits earlier the game just seems to swing that way.
