I started learning jungle playing Sion due to his tankiness, shield, and two stuns. His clear is easy and just becomes an cakewalk if you build the Cinderhulk enchant.

I agree with Vi.
Maokai is also viable with his gap closer that can be a stun long enough to get behind the enemy and Q them back into your team. His ult is also very good late game as everyone groups mid-late game.

Zac Can counter jungle easily and safer than most of the other Junglers. Also has a similar item 3026 passive that most solo Q players will not keep tabs on so baiting can get alot of kills for your team.

Amumu.

Reliable CC, fast clearing, strong initiation and teamfighting, simple to play.

Personally, I think Skarner is a great jungler to learn the proper mechanics of jungling. His has very strong consistent damage with his Q, excellent survivability with his W, a stun with his E and a really strong suppression with his R.

Also his passive gives you an incentive to explore counter jungling without too much risk. You can control the crystals and use the burst of vision to steal camps, then ward the jungle for vision of the enemy. Plus the movement speed buff you get from passive and your W makes his map pressure enormous. Once you get ult it's a free kill almost every time, especially if you ult and chain it with your stun afterwards.

He teaches good mechanics of skill shots with E and priority target picking. I love skarner and I definitely recommend him.

You should definitely start with Warwick Warwick. Some of the champs that folks have listed are decent picks, but Warwick is the best overall starter jungler because he's so incredibly forgiving to learn. Your clears are really good because you heal a lot, and if you make a mistake, WW can Q and heal for a lot of HP against champs. Additionally, he's fantastic for getting objectives because of his W attack speed increase + his built-in heal.

He has a point and click Q and R, and his E provides vision on targets that you should be ulting on. Infinite Duress is also useful for locking down the ADC or damage dealer in teamfights, and that piece of utility to your team is very valuable. SImple to play champs make it easy to learn the rest of the basics for jungling.

Fiddlesticks Vi and my favorite Zac

I started learning jungle with master yi. He doesn't take much skill to play, his clear is pretty reliable because of meditate, and he does a lot of damage with the correct build. The only problem is that some people don't like yi, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

until 4 patches ago.. i would have recommendedRekSai.

but since riot has gutted her to the point when even as one of the simplest champs the play in the entire game, even in bronze she has a 41% win rate...
