What happen if I smite blue and then give it to mid?

What is the difference between smite the blue and give to mid with NO smite and give it to mid anyway?

If you smite it, you get a percentage of your mana back (similar to how smiting Red Buff heals you).

You get mana if you smite it. That's it unless your mid was running smite just for blue.

There is no difference, the mid laner gets nothing more then a blue buff whether you smite it or not.

so there is nothing that affect the mid laner if I smite the blue... right? I have read a post that say something like "I give the blue to the mid lander but I smite anyway" so I was wondering if there was any difference

the joke was probably "ill give them blue but im smiting it anyway" which means they took it and didnt give it, securing the blue for themselves with smite. it was probably in the joke section

currently you get mana back. on PBE smiting any large monster gives you hp back. lol. smiting doesnt benefit the mid just you, the mid gets the blue buff either way with no extra benefit for your smite
