What is Riot's opinion of Warwick at the moment?

It seems to me that after Taric and Yorick, Warwick is up there in terms of out-dated design. His model and abilities look out of place, and his abilities themselves are pretty one-dimensional and have an all-or-nothing aspect to them that seems hard to balance (remember the skirmisher's sabre+ult fiasco?). Of course these are just my opinions and by no means majority. I feel like he would be a relatively easy VGU - there are plenty of awesome ways to incorporate a psychotic lycanthrope into League - and really flesh out his lore as well. In my opinion, Warwick has so much potential for a pretty snappy re-work. I remember reading about a re-work of his abilities years ago and then total radio silence from the team.

i made my own ww rework that i'm just sitting on, it's pretty heavy-handed though and i'm pretty sure most people would hate it because i removed the supression ultimate and replaced it with a slow, and i gave him an entirely new ability geared towards making him good at pre-6 ganks, but i'll leave it here just to put it out there and maybe get some ideas flowing

I actually sort of like it, but the E feels a tad bit like rengar's ult. Also instead of infinite duress like the previous, maybe "Crippling Hunt" or something along those lines would fit it better :D

that's a great name idea, i'm awful at coming up with names lol

the E was actually mostly based on twitch's stealth and i didn't even think of rengar while making it, but i can definitely see the similarities now that you mention it. i think the second cast being an ability rather than an auto, an the slow he applies to himself seperates it from rengar enough though, and it limits the situations where it's useful

Hes clunky, but probably won't be easy to fix him. He is basically a lifesteal champion, but is kinda blah at what he does.

He has a burst heal, an AS steriod, a lol MS steriod on low hp champs, and a CC blink ult.

My guess is he will keep his Q, but the rest of him will be changed. His ult is pretty iconic but I hope they could still find some way to change it up while still being kinda similar to what it currently is. His W and E indeed need changes. AS steriod is crap for a skill slot since its so low, I would personally like if there was a fear on it. A Werewolf howling would certainly inspire fear in people, would make him more versitile other than being an Ult bot currently. His E isn't even an ability, its just a passive, so that should indeed be changed to become a new ability, perhaps like a dash/pounce Ala Nidalee but with that as a passive on it perhaps? Would certainly fit the theme of Werewolf chasing his prey.

I just hope he can come back to being worth something, I have no idea but he is literally crap now, and I used to main and love WW. Now I feel I struggle even in the jungle which he is suppose to thrive in.

Riot sees him as clunky and outdated, but functional. Higher priority things to fix, but he's on the list definitely.

he should be similar to nidalee. in terms of. direction. but hes more of a. i will stick to you and auto you to death. you know just like jax yi xin shyvanna. they are all really the same champion with a cpl different things that their objective is to mele you to death.

they should make him so that you can turn into wereworld. or a complete wolf.
