Picking my one trick pony

Okay so I have decided to become a one trick and play one champion only because me playing multiple champs all at once isn't working to well. I am deciding between katarina, zed , Leblanc , jayce Ekko or Orianna. People have told me to just play whatever I have the most fun playing but their equally as fun to me so I just want so help picking.

one does not simply become a one trick pony, while asking who to one trick.

If you can play a champ to 300K mastery points, you're a bonfide one trick. I have 2 champs over 500K already from one tricking lmao.

Orianna. Fits into most team comps, great team fighting, safe laning and very diverse

Also hella strong if mastered

Oriana. Huge lane bully, amazing utility, good in team fights, doesn't fall off late game.

Everyone but orianna has high pick/ban rates. Orianna is always viable and has low ban rates.

Play the champion you think you can still have fun with after hundreds of games. But don't be a one trick, play two other champions frequently if your's is picked or banned. For me, it's LeBlanc, Ahri and Anivia although I am not sure if LeBlanc will stay my main after the update

What's happening to Leblanc after the update?

"double down on the deception" - less instant burst playstyle, seems nice, still the high damage output, a small jump-Back delay on her w (<0.5 seconds), delayed damage, a new deception tool. Seems nice, we'll see during the next two weeks what they exactly do. I'd wait for this roster update before you decide which champion you want to main (or one-trick) But I can highly recommend my combination

I chose Leblanc. I ban her 100% of the time because I don't see how anyone can stop a Leblanc player that really knows his champ. She's probably the most effective assassin in the game. Certainly an unfair champ in the right hands. I'd main her myself but I don't really enjoy playing her. I cannot play a champ 10 times a day if I don't enjoy playing them.

agree with that, and it probably won't change after the update. I don't think it's bad that those champions exists since the game depends on the team and not on the midlaner, but she can be extremely rewarding if not even more after this update

The problem with her is the risk to reward ratio for delivering her insane damage. She has unparalleled safety. Zed is the only other champion with a similar pattern of play, that is to say, a get-in-get-out kind pattern. But the genius of Zed is that his windows of weakness are very exploitable when one puts their mind to it. I never feel cheated when I get own by a good Zed because I know what I did wrong. However, with Leblanc, I feel cheated every time this bitch hits me because the only thing I can do is stay away from her, which isn't good. It means in skirmishes or team fights I have to leave my team to their fate because I know there is no way to stop Leblac from killing me if I get into range of any of her abilities. She gets on you, you're dead, no question about that. You can't outplay her, you can't run from her, you can't turn on her and kill her. I've tried everything I can to deal with this bitch. People bitch and moan about Yasuo, Zed, Talon what have you but Leblac in my opinion is the only champion that is a true problem. Yasuo, Zed etc have clear and easily exploitable weaknesses, Leblanc does not.

The solution to playing League well isn't becoming a OTP. It's learning the mechanics of the game better. You don't have to master a single champ to be successful. As soon as you have the general skillset you should be able to isolate and specialize in a small handful of champions, thus still retaining your versatility in pick options.

It's really hard to break into high elo spamming one champion every match, because what's required for each team comp to work varies. I've seen all AD comps fail miserably because Riven didn't have/want to play an AP top.

True and I kind of decided to play two champs and it's looking like Orianna and jayce for the time where we might have too much ap and need some ad and he can also play top for the time I don't get mid

Can't select multiple, sadly.

I would recommend playing both Orianna and Jayce. Sometimes, having a substitute or alternative is useful for dealing with counters and fitting team compositions.
