Regarding the PBE Anivia changes from a Gameplay perspective

9/7 PBE Update

I understand the hate coming from people who have to lane vs Anivia and her E-R combo, but I think there should be an inherent compensation for the changes as the game goes on. For example, maybe Anivia gets mana back for proccing her E when ICED because that would reward the same style of play that the changes are promoting because as of right now, her mana costs are insanity for the damage she would be outputting. Or another compensation whould be chilled targets take 150/175/200% of E at ranks 1/2/3 for ultimate instead of a flat nerf, this way anivia can still scale well.

As of right now, the PBE changes will likely destroy her lane phase vs other control mages; a champion already gated by the slowest MS in the game and MASSIVE mana issues. PLS dont gut one of the true combo mages that rewards tons of time put into.

I like your totally not biased poll options. I think these changes are good, but I in no way struggle against an Anivia. Also, this is hardly gutting Anivia. Landing the first part of Q automatically means landing the stun, so your damage is pretty much the same here. All they've done is made her ER/RE fair and requiring some actual skill.

My assumption is that Riot is making these changes so they can add more power to Anivia's kit in other areas. Keep in mind that this stuff is just on the PBE and may not go live. I would bet that Riot wants to see how much these changes hurt her so they know how much to buff her in other areas.

Won't really impact her Q at all, but will probably change her R E combo. Not sure if it is too much. She has a decent win rate as is (53-54%) and has a decent niche in zone control. They could probably reduce the instant cost of her R now that her R makes less instant impact. Maybe reduce it to 50 mana instead of 75 mana.

I really like your proposal, I hadn't thought of that before. I made a similar in depth post which you can read here, my proposal was instead of doing full damage with E when R is full size (200% dmg at 400 after 3 seconds) E should do full dmg at half size or after 1.5 seconds. Making the widely hated E>R combo impossible by adding a 1.5 second delay to do full dmg, and overall increasing her max dmg burst window by 1.5 seconds instead of 3.

3 Seconds to do 50% damage would cripple the champion in my opinion. I understand a lot of you can have a hard time laning against Anivia, but imagine if your champion (for those who play mages & assassins) had a burst window increase of 3 seconds. To put it in perspective, most assassins will see 1-1.5 second burst window increases tops after the upcoming assassin patch.
