This was my seeding matches. I had 4 guys with no ranked experience and less than 250 normal wins between the four of them. My opponents? A Diamond 4, 3 mid Plats and a Gold 1.

The thing with your example is that it is gold 2's matched against plat 5's and a gold 5. That's quite fair actually. What is UNFAIR is when you get a team of bronze and silvers against a squad of diamond players.
