New App Auto Censor
Hello there summoners,
I am Adriano and i’ll be giving you some information on this new app created by me and my friend, two young gamers trying to solve a very common issue in the gaming community. Auto censor is a new windows software that is basically an auto-censorship. It was made with the idea to help online multiplier game players deal with controlling emotions and protecting a player’s account from getting an in-game behaviour punishment such as a ban.
We all know how frustrating games can be sometimes, especially MOBA”s such as League Of Legends, Dota and also others that include teammates. Ahh!!, teammates. Those creatures in your games that will make sure that you have the worst time possible trying to win. Controlling our emotions is easier said than done, admit it, we all tilt and let out those words that you can’t hold in , and before you know it, you’re banned. Uh ohhh. You got two weeks time on your hands, not knowing what to do, thinking about that damned ban. Of course, you regret what you said, of course, you spend support tickets apologising and in the end you realise you’ll just have to wait while telling yourself I’m never talking again or saying anything mean again I promise!”. We have all been there trust me. It works for 1, 2, maybe 3 weeks. But if your emotions tend to come out a lot just as a part of your personality, you WILL be seeing that cute message restraining your account again.
Now, you may be thinking, companies have systems like mutes and chat restrictions, it’s not that big of an issue, well you are kind of correct, but the issue is huge and most systems and chat restrictions are extremely inefficient. Mutes: gets the players even more frustrated being unable to type at all which sends the player into tilt and who knows what happens next, alt-F4? Chat restrictions: similar but worse, the player builds up all the tilt and once he is able to type he lets out an avalanche of built up anger.
So, how does the app actually work? You are able to type any word you like expect curse words and negative words considered as bannable offenses. We also have an option that helps this censor really adapt to you. If you know some words or things you say a lot in a negative manner, you can add it just by typing it in the box menu, you will see it is very simple. The software will then block you from sending that word. Leaving you no other option but to stay positive words, but hey you can still use irony!
