Er, no. People snowball as it is. If you roam for kills, you lose out on lane xp. That's the trade-off.

So for people being able to make early plays, they should suffer because of it?

People like you are the problem with this game.

Go sit in lane for 20 minutes and farm up and talk to me about how this game is extremely entertaining and decision-filled.

I just think it's an unhealthy snowballing mechanic. If you get a lot of kills, you've already got gold and do fine in most games when fed. XP would just be icing on the cake.

People like you are the problem with this game.

I'm just using critical thought and giving my opinion. Am I not allowed? If you're the kind of person who goes "Your opinion doesn't match mine, and even though we have no data or observable proof, you're 100% wrong!" then you might be the problem.

Go right ahead and state your opinion, if i didn't think it mattered at all dude I wouldn't even bother replying to your initial comment.

I think it's this ideology though that is the problem on this game stemming from it's initial release... hear me out.

This game has two types of players. The ones who only found entertainment in getting kills. These are your bronze and silver and gold players, like me. This doesn't mean people in higher ELO have more skill than me, it simply means their mindset fits the games conditioning methods of: SIT IN LANE AND FARM 'TIL YOUR TEAM PINGS YOU FOR TEAM OBJECTIVES.

I have faced many diamond and platinum in lane and have spanked them to death in laning harassment exchanges.

So just because i only find entertainment in PvP play over the boring, repetitive PvE oriented meta of this game, i have to suffer because the majority doesn't feel this way? Well the whole IRONY is that Bronze, Silver and Gold ELO make up more of this gaming community than the rest put together. So how come the game doesn't cater to the needs of the majority?

I'll tell you why, because Riot is just like every other corporation out there; they only care about $$$$$$$$$ . The only way riot makes big bucks on this game is through its 'Pro scene.' But i can bet that half the gold players could spank the 'pro players' on this game in 1 on 1 combat tactics, but since the pro players rely on the Meta of team-based strategy, relying on their coaches in top end play for second-to-second decision making, they are considered the pros, and not us PvP players.

Hope that clarified a bit, because i am not the "my opinion is more important than yours," type of guy, i'm just a bit fed up with this game all together because it doesn't cater to the majority; just the ones that make the company its profits.

Fair enough, fair enough, now that I know what you mean I kinda get it.

If they did that, it would require some tweaking in the game, some numbers and all that. It wouldn't just be kill xp changing, since there's so many variables. Keep defending it if you really want it, because it could be interesting, but I'm one of those who are just wary of possible unhealthy snowballing mechanics.

Maybe it could be a level advantage thing. If you kill someone of a higher level, you get more xp. Who knows?

Thanks for the open-mindedness, i may come off as a bit extreme but it's something that the majority want. Most just don't know how to voice or word it.

With the kill advantages creating an unhealthy environment you were referring to, i'd say in response, what if there were combo points, such as, combo xp/gold, you kill 1 target it's worth 100% gold, you kill 2 targets in a row you get 150% gold on the second, 200% for a triple kill, etc. Because when someone gets shutdown, nearly all that gold they were able to get advantageously, all gets nullified on a big juicy shutdown. I just don't think that is fair that someone who is 7-0 should have to give up more gold simply because they were doing so well.

Also, when someone is 0-6 they shouldn't be worth less gold simply because they died a lot. I think the more kills you get, the less gold you should be worth, the more deaths you have, the more gold you are worth. This way, your team can't just pull the cold shoulder on someone who is 0-6 because the enemies will just keep kicking them when they are down. It adds some team play decisions for the support, such as, if their mid is 0-6 maybe they should go help mid out a bit so enemy jungler doesn't keep camping for free gold. It adds some responsibility on the entire team when someone isn't doing well.

Sounds a bit crazy, killstreaks making you worth less? Deaths not lowering your gold value... but hey, one century everyone though the world was flat so... just ideas here.

This. Getting even a single kill already can offer a large advantage to the one who gets and capitalizes on it. Piling on more advantage wouldn't add anything to gameplay and at best, would simple be a case of "win more" or worse, would end competition in lane at First Blood.

And really, why should that Varus be rewarded more when he only wandered around to keep kicking Ahri when she was already down?

Parapsychology1 votes

He should be rewarded because the OTHER team chose to let Ahri be kicked around. Why couldn't a support just go help for a few minutes to help them scale a bit. Why can't that teams jungler help counteract Varus's aggressiveness?

There needs to be team responsibility when someone on your team is getting smashed.

But since this game is so single purposed; push to win! No one even thinks that a support should be a support of the whole team, not just bot lane adc support by default.. where's the fun in that?

Why does Varus have to suffer because he wants to be aggressive, he has the potential to make the early plays; why should HE have to suffer?

Why does Varus have to suffer?

He did not suffer in any way, shape, or form due to the MASSIVE gold advantage those kills got him. If anything, the fact that he got those all those kills, but was still under-leveled and never took any objective himself is a reflection of **his **play and his personal level of competence and not anything to do with the system. Nobody else in the other games of League that I have played or watch have gotten ahead in kills but were so far behind in experience as that Varus player, even when they did not have near the kill count that he did.

This varus was solo mid with 1 trillion kills and still lagged behind in XP.

Here's a video 2 years ago that I made when I got mad that I had no XP despite getting 1st blood, another kill plus an assist at lvl 2.

Because this game has never changed over a large period of time right?

To answer your question though, no. The game is pretty snowbally for certain champions as is it doesn't need to be made worse.

For god sakes, League is not a death match. Use your kills to grab a Dragon, Baron, tower, inhib, Cause that where the power of kills actually comes from.

Parapsychology2 votes

So what you're saying is, you don't rely on your personal skill to win games. You just like to push repetitively with your team in the hopes that your team's late game is stronger than the other teams? Yep... totally a balanced gaming system. TOTALLY! Oh and not to mention, fun and full of potential when you just push lanes and destroy towers. SO ENTERTAINING LIKE OH EM GEE!! Jinx Fizz Annie Jax Nunu Shaco Sona

I actually completely agree with you...snowballing is really nullified since season 3.. but you are mistaken in something...they are nullified for junglers and solo laners. Bot lane is "balanced" at the moment so if you are 3-0 graves you will basically kill everyone if left unfocused. Supp have enough money are provide great utility etc. But midlane...to be fair i am bad at it..but all mages now have mana issues. And every item gives soo little mana. Mana regen is just bad atm. Flat mana is just better. So even if you kill your enemy you can't push and roam early and snowball because you can only aa bot but mid game you are alright. Next is jungler position...thats worse...no something is really wrong with that position. As a jungler you must have perfect decision making. PERFECT. There is no room for error here. You have to know how much you can gank and how much you can farm. But i do jungle alot and i would recommend gank all lanes especially bot and stay in jungle until there is nothing to farm. Because when i am 3-0-1 lee sin and i am level behind to a 0-0-0 enemy nasus jungler you have to ask your self WHATTHEFUCK. You go back to the jungle farm a little and yea you get the same level. Its a mindset thats extremely boring and unrewarding. And don't worry that nasus can spank your ass if you missplay anything and you have like 2 long swords on him and ninja tabi....i call bs right there. Thats just bs. Your teammates gave me kills its not my problem you can't handle me. No he did nothing whole game he comes up from jungle with a level above me and i have to think can i handle a lvl 9 nasus. As lvl 8 lee sin. And now lets go to the toplane. Lets say i play shitty champ like GP and i cheese someone lvl 2. lets say a riven. You have ignite and she has tp. YOu are happy you bought ...2 dorans walk up to top lane shes lvl 4 you are barely lvl 3. Whatever you bought is not enough because 1 lvl of her stats is stronger then your buy. There are lane mechanics how to have her lane pushing to your tower but she will always be 1 level ahead. Its amazing how short the death timers are. You got killed lvl 1 which should be impossible if you are not dumb enough to engage in enemy minion wave and then i am punished. Lately i just farm and wait for teamfights. If i am 0-3 or 3-0 its the same thing if my adc is worse then theirs we lose. Entire game right there. Oddone said it for junglers. Snowballing is too hard. Just pick malph jungle farm and scale. They need to get you a speed boost for jungle or top because you have a kill AND YOU ARE BEHIND.....WHAT is happening. You ruined snowballing a little bit too much...

What if they rewarded kill streak bonuses rather than xp. Like you could call-in an AC-130 or get a red-dot sight for your spells for long, uninterrupted kill streaks

Crett1 votes

A lot of people here appear to be answering on principle; "I should be rewarded for getting kills!" But you already are: They miss out on farm, you get gold, you get to do whatever you want until they respawn If you got more experience, then a blitzcrank grab could propel the bottom lane to level 6 way before the other laners, quickly turning things oppressive.

Imagine if Katarina got a level per kill.
