HI i recently completed my placements as a support main. I won 7 and lost 3. the 7 games we won i got S ranking and the 3 we lost i got A to A+ ranking. In the last game i found out i got placed in bronze 2 when playing with golds and silvers. Can someone explain to me how this ranked system works? i just feel that i should of been placed higher.

your MMR is very high for Bronze. You will get a free win in series and a lot more LP per win.

There's a hidden mmr behind your current elo and yours is currently 1276 or roughly around Silver 4. We don't exactly know how we get placed in certain brackets over others but if you continue to play ranked you'll be gaining more LP per win than losing per loss until your hidden mmr aligns with your actual elo bracket. Ex: I started Gold 5 (this is my second account) with an mmr around plat 5 so when I won my gold 5 promos I jumped to Gold 3, and when I won those promos I jumped to Gold 1.

I woulda waited until next season to get ranked for the first time. You're not gonna have time to grind a whole lot of games and you'll likely start off lower after your placements next season than you ended this season. They also are going to give us more information on ranked as a whole, giving us a starting rank for while we undergo our placement matches after the first and showing us LP gains and losses and overall, how we stack up to where the game thought we should be after the first game. The first match's placement will likely be lower than you actual placement, as you have much higher LP gains and much lower LP losses during this time period. There will be no promo matches, either.
