Why did his kit / dmg getting nerfed?

When champions like Xerath and Leblanc are around?

I've never been as frustrated with Old Gragas as I am with Leblanc and Xerath in lane. Gragas harassment was pretty easy to avoid and he didn't burst without landing a good R + Q + E combo which was very hard to pull off compared to Xerath and Leblanc combo.

Xerath has long range does high dmg and is super spammy

Leblanc dmg is high and very good harassment because of W

It's extremely frustrating to play against.

Old Gragas Passive - Over Time heal 2%? Q - AOE dmg / Decent range W - Mana / Dmg reducation E - Stun / escape / AOE lane clear / Short range R - AOE Dmg / displacement / Decent range

Xerath Passive - Mana on hit Q - AOE dmg / Long range W - AOE dmg / Long range E - Dmg / Stun / Long rage R - Dmg / 3 charges / Extra Long range

Leblanc Passive - Below % go stealth and create clone Q - Dmg + Dmg mark / Decent range W - Aoe dmg / Escape / Decent range E - Dmg / Snare / Decent rage R - Copy of any spell + extra dmg

How is their kits compared to Old Gragas not considered unfun and OP to play against in lane like his was?

you just said old gragas was balanced, you know you just made your thread a troll one with that?

I never said he was balanced? I said why was he nerfed yet xerath and leblanc are not and they essentially do the same thing.

no LC$ big plays based around mobility and button mashing. He requires too much thinking.

It is because each champion is different and have their set of strengths and weaknesses. Unfortunately, those strengths and weaknesses come and go with the meta. In a time where Unholy Grail was the perfect mid item AP mages dominated, or type X champions dominate the jungle, some champions because less viable because they struggle against the "meta" champs. As much as I hate LB and feel she needs a little re-balance, each of those champions have their sets of "pros and cons", and comparing entire kits with abilities side-by-side is unfair.

i disagree. I think comparing them is exactly the way to see how much it makes no sense.

Old Gragas Passive - Over Time heal 2%

Q - AOE dmg / Decent range (yes and it also used to slow attack speed)

W - Mana / Dmg reducation / **AD **(keep in mind this had like 25 seconds cooldown but a long duration so it didn't give that much mana and wasn't that great to proc passive)

E - Stun **Slow **/ escape / Short range / Decent AoE damage (which scaled with AD from W)

R - AOE Dmg / displacement / Decent range
