In all seriousness, should Twisted Fate not be built like hybrid Kayle?

Lots of people like to ignore the ad stats and attack speed specialties of Twisted Fate when trying to come up with the best recommended builds. I mean, if you are just keeping up enough by going even and decent creep scores How can a mid lane Twisted Fate match up to a mid lane Kayle during the mid game when Kayle can bump into the enemy Yorick top laner and duel it out while a mid-game Twisted Fate could probably burst him at best if you go full AP ... . . . . ..

Do people not think that there is a reason there is an attack speed buff and some decent AD / AP hyper carry builds? How can you shred tanks if you follow Full AP Twisted Fate meta?

Please share your thoughts. Any corrections on my thoughts are welcome.

Any TF that doesnt build item 3100 item 3285 item 3165 isnt worth any time tbh.

Building TF with guinsoo's makes no sense. He already gets an attack speed thing from one of this abilities, sheen + luden's burst is the way to go, allows you to almost literally one shot most carries

I've tried autoattack focused TF builds before, in different seasons, with different items, in different metas. The result is always the same. He's too vulnerable to do it. With a full AP build with Lich Bane he can stun somebody and burst them, getting all his damage in there before he's forced to back off or worse. And with full AP he can throw cards from a safe distance for poke.

So eventually I just concluded that DPS TF isn't practical. It's too easy to pressure him to retreat or kill him.

Easy, the only reason TF gets an attack speed boost is because it helps him in the lane phase and to help him land his W faster on spot. He is a bursting champion.

This is a symptom of a larger problem -- Nashor's Tooth and some other items are exceptionally weak, and the value of stats as a whole in the game are way off.

This is the same reason Orianna and Diana don't build Nashor's despite having synergy built into their kits, why Vayne built crit for the longest time instead of going on-hit, and why Lucian/Corki don't build Manamune.

There's several items in the game that need buffed, Nashor's and Manamune among them, but that won't solve the issue. The only thing that would fix this whole thing of "OP items" being better than "synergy items" is for the stats of Attack Damage and Ability Power as a whole to be reworked. There's only a couple of champions in the game that can justify building an Attack Speed item first, and that's because Attack Speed as a stat is too weak.
