I'm wondering what steps are taken against players that report for things that aren't actually done. For example, 3 people AFK'd in a game I did recently; one came back after about 10 minutes, but in the post-game screen, when asked not to report, I said that I still was, because it didn't matter if she ended up coming back. Those were literally the only words I said to the person the entire time.

Five minutes later, as I'm sitting on the "Featured" section of the game menu, a pop-up tells me that I've been reported for offensive language. How seriously are these things taken? Does each individual offense get inspected to find out if it's actually real, or do bans and what not just come after a certain number of reports are received regarding the same player?

As far as I'm aware, you only get that notification when you've been reported in a high percentage of your recent games, never just for one report. Even if the report that triggered it was false you've been getting reported much more often and it's unlikely those were false too.

Now for what happens to people that falsely report; if you make false reports often then your reports are eventually nullified. That's the only repercussion.

Additionally, be aware that threatening to report someone is harassment and should not be done. It doesn't matter if a report is warranted or not, trying to coerce players with reports is not allowed. Mute them and report them, and simply do not speak to them about it.

Their is no tribunal. If you use too many buzzwords that lyte has deemed toxic, you get 2week- perma banned in 15 minutes, have fun! Also, "ggez" is considered toxic.
