We are all the B@#ches of mid and adc now

I feel that overall throughout the course of the evolution of LOL top jungle and supports have been pushed harder and harder into a cycle of picking and building not to carry the game and win lanes but instead to tank and support the rest of the team. I understand that this was how it was before, but new items and meta changes have basically forced us to be the servants of mid and ADC and the success of these lanes becomes most paramount.

Many of the tank items are weak compared to what they once were and top laners/ junglers simply cant 1v1 people who are on equal footing. Maybe this is due to the heroes that are popular. There is less lee sin and jax, less tryn, less shyvana. THe jungle being made more and more difficult means the jungler now just has to go around feeding other people. Supports are ditching gold runes to simply win their lane faster (which is fine). Other lanes who used to farm certain camps to stay ahead, mid and top, can't do so as economically as before because of the new strength of jungle minions.

At the end of the game, we just end up with 3 fat people, a mid and an adc, and if their mid/adc are better, they will probably win. Back in the day before the barriers, blades of the ruined king, and god forbid that motherf#$%ing ludens echo, a tank could actually scare people. If you don't lock out the right heroes perfectly, they can just sit in your face even when you have tons of armor and auto you to death.

And any time a bruiser shows carry potential they usually get nerfed to the ground. What happend to the days of voyboy lee sin 20 kills top lane or darius running the show. It kinda just sux now for anyone who isn't mid or bot in this meta.

I disagree, a 5000HP Volibear running at you full-speed is terrifying for any mid/ADC, because you can't kill him and he can murder you. There's a reason that teams with more tanks are better in this meta, and most of them tend to have % damages too.

Honestly, I view tanks as similar to the adc and midlaner. You certainly need one, it's not necessarily the team with the most tanks that wins, but the team without one that struggles.

I'm certainly fine with tanks being a necessity, but only as a component of a team, not something that wins based on how many you have. Though I don't count supports as true tanks for certain reasons (no offense, but supports have a special niche to fill), so anymore than two tanks and you just don't have enough burst or sustained dps (tho multiple tanks can burst down one squishy if that squishy isn't being protected).

I guess you are in a lot of games where you feel that way. The ADC and mid are the ones who usually should be doing the most damage because that is their intended role, but you make it sound like the other roles don't contribute anything. Early game ADC can't do anything if their support doesn't do anything for them. If mid is camped they won't be able to do anything without the junglers help. Also the meta shifted so that tanks are more available. It doesn't mean that the carry junglers are bad, it just means they aren't as oppressive as they were in previous seasons where they'd be able to dump on you after their first clear. As for top laners you make it sound like they can't do any damage. Champions like Hecarim and Irelia can easily dump on squishes and can blow them up if they are ahead.

Not really

This game's not based around 1v1s, a properly built team is going to have a huge advantage over 5 troll picks - that mean each role is important in its own way.

The concept of '1 man carry' champs is stupid, it usually just means they're OP. It's the player that makes the 1 man carry, regardless of position, not the champion.
