Carrying as ADC in Silver?

So... I'm ADC main from Plat, and I wanted to get Gold on my 2nd account to be able to play with friends etc. I wanted to do it while still being able to enjoy my ADC role but... I don't seem to win too much as an ADC. Getting tanky support hiding behind me is insanely common (as well as diving Janna or Soraka), getting ahead even in my lane is pretty hard without support and if one of my lanes fall behind, they fall behind HARD, too hard for me to compensate.

Can I carry as an ADC main in Silver? I feel like I'm too team reliant and hard to snowball. It is especially visible when I play mid with Akali - I almost never play mid, It's not even my 2nd role, but with champ like Akali I can easly stomp my lane to a point where I do double on a gank or even dive enemy mid and jg 1v2. I can roam freely, give away my lead or feed myself even more. If enemy doesn't pick really safe mid, It's almost a free win. Is winning as ADC so hard compared to winning as MID in low elo or am I missing something?

The problem is that ADC's are not designed to be solo carries early in the game, so you have to rely on good teammates to help you get to that late game where an ADC really shines. Champions like mid laners and some top laners are designed to have that pressure early because they are solo lanes and have to rely on themselves more often than not. <<Bronze mid main. The best advice I can offer is to look through your ADC's and find one that not only has decent early game damage (ezreal) but also has fairly good scaling for later in the game (vayne) and focus on those more than some others.

sure you can carry as adc main in silver. But your skill as an adc doesnt matter much until later in game.

in my opinion winning games is way easier as sup. as an adc main you should understand that support players decide who wins the lane phase. especially at silver, if you are good u can win lanes hard for your carry. let em farm in peace or even give them kills. And the impact of supports doesnt fall of. the impact of your plays is huge in early mid and late game. marksmen really arent the deciding matter until later in the game. and these days games can be (or feel) over very early.

my advice pick up some support champs, should be even easier for an adc as you have botlane experience already. And maybe it makes you appreciate your sups more^^

Im just a very average player but i reached plat on multiple accounts/seasons with just playing support. almost plat with support only on this account too. And if i was a just little talented at league im sure i couldve been diamond long time ago :D
