Lol so funny that people are saying this now after everyone cried about making URF permanent. I am not knocking you for this, but I just think it's funny how often I'm seeing these posts now.

I think URF should be random pick like ARAM item 3070

BattleOxe5/21/2016, 11:55:56 AM6 votes

100% agree I prefer normal where everything is somewhat balanced, opposed to URF where everything is totally broken, and point of the champ select is to pick as broken champ as you can (zed, ekko, wukong...)

Lycanoon5/21/2016, 6:21:29 PM6 votes

It's always the same 15 champs in URF right now...

Azir Akali Bard Brand Darius Ekko Evelynn Garen Sona Teemo Zed DrMundo Fizz Heimerdinger Jax

Very few times do you see a variation. Sure, you get ashe and a few others...but majority of the time...it's those 15.

Champs that should be disabled in URF's next rotation Alistar Azir Blitzcrank Ekko Evelynn Galio Jax KogMaw Nocturne Sona Teemo MonkeyKing Yasuo Zed

Why? Toxic as all hell...

ImmortalBloodCY5/21/2016, 6:00:09 PM4 votes

Well people always keep picking the same champ all over.

Fiora/Shaco/Zed/Fizz/Ezreal.

Because of those people URF is a cancer. Its no longer fun and RIOT is ignoring everything when we are telling them to disable certain champs.

It was bond to happen sooner or later! I still enjoy the mode, but I play in moderation. I didn't play yesterday because I'm currently at work and I have a rule of not playing if I have work. I'll probably play one or two matches when I get home then play another set at night when my friends are on.

But modes like this probably will never be permanent because they will get stale very quickly especially for people who play it nonstop. Then you get people who doesn't understand the point of the mode, and make it seem like it's Rank or something. Always needing to play seriously 100% of the time. People don't seem to understand to relax and chill when you play a mode like this. Play champions you never thought you play, or rarely play.

I make it a habit now that when modes like this come out every match I play a different champion, possibly in a crazy build as well. I know I really wanna try AP Jihn because his bomb scale off of AP or something and all I wanna do is enjoy it for what it is worth!

Personally, I'm still having as much fun as ever.

Having it in two-and-a-half day segments really helps to prevent me from getting bored of it. I also get to experiences a new meta every time I play URF!

ModCaptainMårvelous5/21/2016, 9:21:22 PM3 votes

Nope.

I warned people. I told them this would happen and I told them URF needs nemesis draft or all random. Got blasted with downvotes. Hope those fools are having fun now.

For me and a lot of others, the mode just hasn't been fun since the first time it was out.

The reason?

On URF's first outing, Riot was smart to disable the most problematic champions in the mode, along with allowing players to ban 6 additional picks. This made playing a much larger variety of champions feel good and, needless to say, viable.

Since then, the same dozen or so obnoxiously broken champions have been ruling the mode because Riot fails to realize their unique URF balancing didn't do squat to make them tolerable. They will always be completely broken until they are nerfed badly enough to make them unplayable, due to the combination of utility and mechanics they have.

This leaves players with two choices: either pick one of the few obnoxiously broken champions and join the tryharding, or have a miserable time (assuming level of skill is equal).

When a mode meant to be purely for fun becomes infested with tryhards treating it like it's ranked, it's time to move on. Sadly, all the "fun" modes have been devolving just the same.

Br4ndon5/21/2016, 8:22:40 PM3 votes

Making the champion selection random with bans would probably make it much more fun.

Saianna5/21/2016, 3:50:22 PM3 votes

Then don't play it?

USG Failsawce5/21/2016, 12:43:06 PM2 votes

I got bored of it long before game mode rotations. Never understood why people loved it so much, after about 4-5 games of playing it...

Alternate game modes/maps like ARAM and Twisted Treeline remain fun because they're not so over the top and unsatisfying it makes you want to gouge your own eyes out after the shortest time playing them.

It amazes me still to this day that people don't understand the concept that actually working for something makes it far more satisfying, or satisfying at all to begin with. And things like Urf practically removes all possibility for that to happen.

LazyW0lf5/21/2016, 3:48:12 PM2 votes

If I remember correctly, Riot said they wouldn't make URF a full gamemode because they would have to balance champs. They don't want to disable anybody because they want all champs to be able to be played in the hilarious gamemode, but they will disable them if they need to.

I get bored of the mode really quickly when I wanted to try different things to see how champs would be in URF, playing Jhin Gangplank KogMaw Lucian . But on the enemy team there was always a Sona Zed Ezreal Malphite Vladimir Zyra . The mode definitely got really annoying when Vladimir pools almost every ability and Zyra can solo baron.

Matsoman5/21/2016, 5:15:38 PM2 votes

No you aren't the only one. Posts like these are just as common as the "BRING URF BACK" posts.

Kalarepa5/21/2016, 7:59:08 PM2 votes

It needs to be random. 6 bans aren't enough to ban all cancers. No matter what you do in the laning phase, there's always that 1 champion, who roams and kills everyone on sight with 0 effort. And the only way to win against that is to completely avoid him and backdoor with teleport 24/7.

Nubbersx5/21/2016, 8:06:41 PM2 votes

It's really not too bad. I think around a 66% w/l for urf games and I've only played Yorick, Nocturne, J4 and Syndra and queue with my gf who only plays maokai. We've had a few rough games but for the most part the "op" champs haven't really done well if they get through the bans.

Universal Boop5/22/2016, 7:03:49 PM2 votes

Honestly i had fun with urf the first few time i played it when it came out, i kinda hate the game mode now

Eternal Nocturne5/21/2016, 2:58:54 PM2 votes

I love URF, many of my friends do too. HOWEVER, I 100% can agree with you due to all the people that just play the OP shit you cant win against (Garen Sona Zed ) they need to have certain champions disabled in URF like they do In One for All

devdev4635/22/2016, 4:44:52 AM2 votes

I want urf with a random champ select so bad. It would completely fix the problem of needing to play op champs to compete, and would also really push it into a more casual game mode that I am sure the majority of people would prefer.

FourVsFive5/23/2016, 3:02:23 AM1 votes

Allow 10 bans it be little more fun.

Yordlelayhehoo5/23/2016, 2:24:57 AM1 votes

it's fun for the first day then after that everyone gets their premades and try hard caps on and ruins it.
