Akali looks broken and all, but why the fuck is the [Press Shift] thing back?

Has anyone, sincerely, ever complained that 'tooltips just have too much information. We need a watered down version and to press an extra button to get all the useful information?

I sincerely hope that this won't be a running trend with upcoming new champs and reworks. It's not necessary at all.

Every champ since Ekko has been reading an entire essay just to understand what the champ does.

Meanwhile Blitzcrank is a simple paragraph.

they will have a thing in the option to have it where the "press shift" is always displayed

Riot already explained this on reddit, quite extensively - during the Aatrox AMA. And i don't feel like giving you the abridged version since it looks like to me like you haven't even looked for the answer before you came posting.

Here's our good Samaritan player with the actual link:

She's not even close to broken. She's a hell of a lot more fair than the reset queen.

They're actually updating all ability descriptions to be like this. I do think it's a little annoying but people really only read these when first playing a champ or checking some detail. Otherwise, the way abilities work becomes innate knowledge after experience.

I am also annoyed by this. It's hiding important information that you can view at a glance behind another button press. This isn't Diablo where you have plenty of time to sit around and hold the shift key. If they do implement it, I hope they add an option to have everything laid out so I can look for the damage and bonuses instead of pressing shift, which is slightly out of the way from qwer, to know how much ad Aatrox's E gives him

Check the Rito post on tooltip update. It will let you see the base damage and level scalings later on

I wouldnt have a problem with it if I could figure out how to remap the key for it. Pressing shift for the info feels awkward to me in this game :l

This feature will be nice if they start displaying stuff that is, as of right now, hidden or not consistently shown from champion to champion. So pressing Shift on an ability would, for example, give you the details of an effect status applied by your ability or value scaling details. That would make it easier for new players and players learning new champions.

Extremely out of topic, but I posted pretty much the same exact post and it got 0 attention. I fucking love the boards.

There's gonna be a toggle option by the way.

KoKoboto7/17/2018, 5:59:19 AM1 votes

Yeah I hate it. Hopefully it's a toggle in the setting or something. I don't wanna be pressing a button just to read the abiliteisieiseis

nobody is forcing you to press the fucking button....
