In-Shop Item Queue

I've been thinking about this a great deal, and have a suggestion for a very simple feature that is missing from Summoner's Rift.

We've all had those times where, waiting to respawn, we studied the enemy team and the item list, and planned out a whole build. Later, with pockets full of gold, we go back to spawn and-- oh c**p I knew exactly what I was going to build but what was it??? Now, with lanes to push and teammates to bail out, we don't have the leisure to reconstruct that perfect item set.

What I'm thinking of is a temporary, in-game item queue. This could be done by setting aside a section of the recommended item page that can be filled by selecting items. They are then added to that section of the rec page, and can be moved around, or removed as needed. You would still have to purchase these items, but they'd be 'set aside' so that you can find them with ease later. This queue would exist only during that game, and wouldn't need to be saved anywhere once the game is done. However, it would let summoners make constructive use of their downtime to plan and then utilize individualized item builds for each game.

Item pages, while a great feature, don't meet this need because there's no way to plan out builds for every possible situation ahead of time. Pro play, and just good play in general, very much favors improvisational builds and build paths, rather then one-size-fits-all item pages. Item queues would let you plan your build around the game at hand, without forcing you to reconstruct it every time you return to base.

There are enough things to be thinking about at any given moment on the Rift. Let's make use of what downtime we have, so that the heat of battle isn't as rushed. ;)

If you are experienced with the game and each item, there's absolutely no need for this feature and it because very unnecessarily overloaded.

So, I've been playing this game for ~4 years. I read patch notes. I know the items and their uses. And I'm still requesting this feature. This isn't unnecessarily overloaded. This is very, very simple. Short term information storage.

I'm very glad that this isn't a feature you need. But you not needing it doesn't mean that no one else needs it. I felt the need to make this post, after all. Just because it wouldn't be useful to you doesn't mean it isn't worth having, and wouldn't be useful to other players.

And you won't have to use it, just like item pages! :) The most experienced players probably don't need item pages either, and yet they exist, and are used by tons of players. Not because they're needed, but because they are convenient and increase ease of play. This would do the same.
